Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Rustem Muratov
Rustem Muratov

Rustem Muratov, an electrical equipment distributor from Russia, had only played three tournaments before this one, his biggest cash not even worth half the buy-in at EPT10 Deauville. But after winning his way in on PokerStars for only €82, Muratov made it all of the way to sixth for a magical run in a city he calls a "fairy tale" place. Read more on the PokerStars blog.

The First Limped Pot

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

We hadn't seen any limped pots yet, but there's a first for everything.

Eli Heath limped in from the small blind holding {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Sotirios Koutoupas checked his big blind with {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}

Heath bet out 65,000 and Koutoupas made the call.

On the flop Heath didn't have much equity with his hand, but he picked up some more with the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. He bet again, 140,000 this time, and Sotirios Koutoupas folded.

Harry's Law: Three-betting is Good

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Two pots in a row for Harry Law and both times he had to three-bet to get it done.

In the first Oliver Price opened to 140,000 from the small blind with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} but folded when Law three-bet from the big blind to 365,000 with {Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Then on the next hand Eli Heath opened to 120,000 under-the-gun with {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, it folded to Law in the small blind and he peaked down at {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. He elected to three-bet this holding too, making it 305,000 total. Back on Heath, he tanked before folding.

Katchalov's Shoves

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Eugene Katchalov just shoved two hands in a row.

The first time he shoved with {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Koutoupas thought about it with {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} in the big blind, but folded. The second time Katchalov pushed with {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and he made Eli Heath fold {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} on the button.

No calls yet!

Koutoupas and Law go to War

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Sotirios Koutoupas
Sotirios Koutoupas

The two chip leaders just clashed in a big pot that went all the way to showdown...

Harry Law opened to 125,000 from the cut-off with {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Sotirios Koutoupas called from the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. On the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop Koutoupas checked, Law continuation bet 140,000 and Koutoupas smooth called. The {A-Clubs} turn was certainly an action card as it gave Law top pair and Koutoupas two-pair. Yet again it was checked to Law, he bet 255,000 and again Koutoupas smooth called.

If the turn card was an action card then the {6-Diamonds} river was the ultimate action card given that it gave Law an inferior two-pair, Koutoupaas played it cute again, checking to Law who fired 385,000, there was never thought of raising from Koutoupas and he flicked one T5k chip over the line to signal a call, Law was the first to show, Koutoupas then showed the winner and has opened up a gap again.

Koutoupas is up to 8,340,000 whilst Law is down to 6,480,000, they're both well clear of the other three players, in fact Eli Heath, Oliver Price and Eugene Katchalov combined have less than Law.

Law Flops a Flush

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Chun Ho Law
Chun Ho Law

Harry law opened to 120,000 from the under the gun position. He found one interested party in Oliver Price in the big blind. Price held {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and would soon get in trouble.

{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}

Law would take Price to value town betting all three streets. Price didn't find a spot where he would lay it down and he check called all the way. Price paid 120,000 on the flop, 255,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn and 620,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river.

Law quickly showed his flopped flush, and with a little frown Price mucked.

Law Wins a Big Pot from Koutoupas

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

"This could be a momentum shifter," said James Hartigan in the commentary box at the conclusion of the hand.

Harry Law raised to 120,000 from under-the-gun with {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, Sotirios Koutoupas three-bet to 275,000 from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Law, after some contemplation, smooth called.

The {7-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop meant Law flopped top set and Koutoupas middle pair. The chip leader led for 225,000 and Law smooth called. The {4-Diamonds} turn gave Koutoupas a flush draw, he checked, Law bet 380,000 and Koutoupas made the call. The {5-Hearts} fell on the river, when checked to Law bet 550,000 and Koutoupas tank-called.

With that pot of almost three million Law is up to 5,510,000 whilst Koutoupas is down to 7,400,000
