Law Loses the Minimum

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Harry law opened with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} from the cutoff for 100,000. Eli Heath in the small blind with {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} was the only caller.

Heath out flopped Law on {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Law checked behind after Heath checked it to him. Heath would get a nice looking turn with the {2-Diamonds}, giving him a flush draw on top of what was already the best hand. Heath checked again and called the 100,000 bet Law made.

The {K-Clubs} on the river was a blank and both players checked. Law had to muck as Heath showed his {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the winner.

More For Law

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Harry Law is now playing nearly four million after winning a blind on blind battle against Eugene Katchalov.

Law opened to 125,000 with {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Katchalov called from the big blind with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. "Calling for deception," opined Joe Stapleton. On the {9-Clubs}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop Law continuation bet 115,000 and Katchalov came along.

The {10-Hearts} turn filled Law's straight, "I see no reason why Law would slow down," said Stapleton. And he didn't he bet 210,000 and Katchalov folded.

Heath Folds Trips

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Eli Heath opened the cut off to 100,000 with {K-Spades}{2-Spades} and Oliver Price just called from the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop and the dealer put out the turn: {K-Hearts}. Trips for Heath and he called the 110,000 bet Price made.

The river was the {A-Hearts} and Price now bet 155,000 with his flush. Heath, holding trips, thought about it but folded rather quickly.

Back to back bustouts as on the very next hand another player was eliminated...

From under-the-gun+1 Oliver Price opened to 100,000 with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Carlo De Benedittis shoved for 365,000 with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Price made the call.

The {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop meant that neither player wanted to hit their kicker, the {3-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river kept Price in front and we lose Carlo De Benedittis in seventh.

Sotirios Koutoupas opened to 105,000 from under the gun plus one with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Action quickly folded to Anthony Lerust in the small blind. Lerust pushed for 1,005,000 with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and the big blind folded. Koutoupas made the call and the last Frenchman was at risk.

The {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on the flop brought Koutoupas four direct outs. The {K-Hearts} on the turn gave the Greek player even more outs. The {Q-Clubs} on the river was one of the cards the man from Greece needed and a disappointed Lerust shook hands with all the players at the table and made his way to the exit.

Koutoupas Stretches His Lead

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

More chips for Sotirios Koutoupas and again it's Eugene Katchalov feeling the pain. The Greek player opened to 105,000 from under-the-gun+2 with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Katchalov called from the small blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

On the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Spades} flop Koutoupas c-bet 125,000 and Katchalov called. There was no further betting on the {5-Clubs} turn or {10-Diamonds} river and Koutoupas took the pot.

Sotirios Koutoupas opened to 100,000 from the hijack with {A-Spades}{4-Spades}. Harry Law called on the button with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Eugene Katchalov came along from the big blind with {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Katchalov made middle pair on {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and lead for 150,000. Initial raiser Koutoupas folded but Harry Law made the call holding top pair. Both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Hearts} hit the river. Katchalov bet another 150,000 and Law made the call.

Law took it down and traded places with Katchalov on the leaderboard.
