Tatu Maenpaa is now up to almost 700,000 after getting a huge double up against Giuliano Bendinelli. Ludovic Geilich is a happy man at the moment, talking strategy and hand ranges with a couple of his table mates. He earlier claimed to have been card dead all day but that hasn’t stopped his increasing his stack. As he succinctly explained to the table: “Had one oh five bascically trebled through and nobody’s seen anything. COME ON!”

But even though the bubble burst today with red, blinking figures reading 00:01, we never reached armageddon. The PokerStars blog explains how Stephen Chidwick defused the bomb and saved the world (at the cost of his tournament life).
