Flush Over Flush Sends Tsang Out the Door

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Elton Tsang
Elton Tsang

Fabian Quoss tends to do well in high roller events, which was evidenced by his win in the $100,000 Super High Roller at the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. If the German has his way, he'll be adding another Super High Roller title to his résumé.

In a recent hand, there was a board reading {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} when Quoss bet 37,000 only to have Elton Tsang raise to 100,050. Quoss thought for a few moments before moving all in, and Tsang, who hand the short stack, called off for right around 200,000.

Quoss: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Tsang: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Both players had turned a flush, but of course the ace-high one of Quoss was best. Tsang, who was drawing dead, watched as the {4-Spades} was put out on the river and then took his leave from the tournament at the tail end of Level 4.
