Voulgaris Loses Race

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Haralabos Voulgaris
Haralabos Voulgaris

Haralabos Voulgaris opened under-the-gun for 2,200 and Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden made the call in the cutoff. Paul Klann the raised from the button to 7,200.

Dan Smith on the small blind was having a think about something, perhaps spotting an opportunity, but he released his hand. The big blind folded and Voulgaris now made it 17,400.

Lodden was the next to act as the drama of the hand unfolded. He asked to look at Klann’s stack, had a think and released his cards.

Klann moved in and was quickly called by Voulgaris.

Off to the races with similar stack sizes but Voulgaris at risk with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Klann.

Klann needed to hit and did right off the bat as the cards ran out {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to bust Voulgaris.
