First Hands Heads Up

Hand #75: Salter folded his seven-five on the button, giving Buonanno with pocket nines a walk in the big blind.

Hand #76: Salter had {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs} on the button and raised it up to 225,000. Buonanno had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} in the big blind and made it 700,000.Salter folded.

Hand #77: Salter got a walk from Buonanno.

Hand #78: Salter had {J-Clubs}{8-Spades} on the button and raised it up to 225,000. Buonanno had {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} and made the call.

The flop was {7-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked. Salter bet 245,000 on the {4-Diamonds} and took it down.

Hand #89: Jack Salter raised to 225,000 with {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Antonio Buonanno called with {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The flop came {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Salter flopped a double-gutshot and Buonanno made middle pair. Buonanno checked and Salter bet 180,000 - the Italian check-raised to 415,000 but Salter three-bet to 905,000 but Buonanno wasn't folding and made the call.

The {J-Diamonds} came on the turn for a pot now worth over 2 million in chips. Buonanno decided to fire again for 700,000. Salter took about four minutes but then folded. Buonanno let him see the {Q-Clubs}.

The stacks are almost even.

Hand #91: Salter with {K-Hearts}{2-Spades} on the button raised it up to 225,000. Buonanno in the big made the call with {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

{K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the flop and Buonanno checked. Salter flopped top pair and continuation bet 195,000. Buonanno had seen enough and folded his hand.

Salter now asked for one of his friends to turn on the stream, apparently for the first time.

Hand #95: Salter had {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} on the button and made it 225,000. Buonanno in the big blind had {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} in the big blind and three-bet to 625,000. Salter needed to add 400,000 to see a flop, but didn't.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Buonanno check-raised a bet 160,000 to 405,000. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked. The {J-Clubs} came on the river and Buonanno bet 400,000. Salter tanked for a few minutes before folding.

Hand #98: Buonanno picked up {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and raised to 250,000 and Jack Salter called with {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. The flop came {7-Spades}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Salter checked across to his opponent, the latter choosing to bet 250,000. Salter made the call.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} making Salter two pair and the Englishman led out for 490,000. Buonanno raised to 1,050,000 and Salter called. The river was the {5-Spades} and both players checked. Salter showed two pair and won a substantial pot.

The Gap Widens

Hand #101: Salter had {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} on the button and raised it up to 225,000. Buonanno made the call with {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} on the flop and both players checked. The {J-Hearts} hit the turn and Buonanno checked again. Salter, with just eight-high, bet 200,000 into 470,000 and Buonanno folded.

Hand #102: Salter in the big blind had {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and called Buonanno's button raise. Buonanno had {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and both didn't connect directly with the {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}-flop.

Salter lead out for 210,000 and Buonanno made the call with his back door flush draw, gutshot and over card.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn paired the board and Salter now checked. Buonanno checked behind.

{q-Diamonds} on the river which made Salter the best hand. Salter bet out 1,050,000 into a 940,000 pot. Buonanno instantly folded and said he thought Salter had a full house.

Hand #103: Salter with {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} on the button raised it up to 225,000. Buonanno in the big blind helt {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and made it 600,000. Salter picked up some dark 100,000 chips and four-bet to 1.35 million. Buonanno made the call and the pot grew to 2,720,000.

The {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} gave Salter top pair. Buonanno checked to Salter who grabbed two towers of chips, and placed them in the middle with both his arms. Buonanno instantly folded.
