Clements Makes The Fourth Nuts

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Angel Guillen opened under the gun for 6,000 and Eros Nastasi made the call on the button. Lodden in the small blind came along as well, but Scott Clements in the big blind had bigger plans. Clements squeezed to 26,000 and Guillen folded. Nastasi made the call however, and so did Lodden.

{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts} on the flop and Lodden checked to Clements. Clements didn't continue his pre flop aggression and checked as well. Nastasi made a 32,400 bet and Lodden folded. Clements made the call and they were of to the turn.

The {9-Hearts} made both players check, and so did the {J-Hearts} on the river.

With four to a straight flush on the board, Clements had anything but the nuts with his {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The king-high flush was a winner though as Nastasi mucked with a somewhat disgusted face.

Nastasi Rivers Lodden

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Eros Nastasi was in the small blind facing off against Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden in the big blind. They saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Nastasi check-called a bet of 6,000 from Lodden.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which they both checked and when the {6-Hearts} appeared on the river Nastasi led out for 24,700. Lodden quickly called but mucked just as quickly when he saw the rivered set of {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} from Nastasi.

No More Beans for Heinze

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Mark Teltscher
Mark Teltscher

Game over for Olvedo Heinze, he pushed all in preflop from the button but Mark Teltscher made the call in the big blind.

Heinze: {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Teltscher: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop gave Heinze a little hope when it came {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} but it was the {K-Hearts} on the turn that made it look like the Dutchman was going to double while Teltscher displayed barely a flicker of emotion. The {10-Spades} though, came on the river and Teltscher's re-suck came with several audible gasps from the table as the English scooped a substantial pot.

Prager < 1BB as Bubble Approaches

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Mayu Roca opened the pot and Alexey Prager three-bet to 18,000. Emil Patel responded with an all in as he had done to Prager in the last hand where Prager folded. Roca got out of the way and this time Prager made the call.

Prager had {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} but Patel tabled the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to leave Prager going on a 20 minute break with less than one big blind left.

Prager Eliminated from the Feature Table

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Alexey Prager won't be living up to the "a chip and a chair" adage as he was just eliminated from the feature table.

Prager got his last 2,000 all in from the hijack and Maxim Panyak isolated from the cutoff with a raise.

Prager: {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Panyak: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Prager was behind, but he was drawing to two live cards. Wouldn't you know it, one of them his on the {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. Unfortunately, the dealer then burned and turned the {A-Diamonds}. Panyak retook the lead with aces, and then scored the elimination when the {Q-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Rouas Next to Go

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Philippe Rouas was at risk with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and had been called by the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Johannes Strassmann.

These are likely to be the sort of confrontations we will be seeing until the bubble bursts.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Rouas’s big slick fell to the eventual full house of Strassmann.
