Wyraz & Honeyman Exit

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After Grzegorz Wyraz fell in 35th place, Dylan Honeyman followed him out the door in 34th.

It happened when Honeyman moved all in under the gun for 184,000 and Sebastian Bredthauer called him from the cutoff. The rest of the field folded and the cards were turned up.

Bredthauer: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Honeyman: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out a clean {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and that was all she wrote for Honeyman.

Bad Beat Send Boeken to the Rail

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken

Noah Boeken got his stack of about 190,000 all in preflop and was in a great spot to double against Eros Nastasi.

Boeken: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Nastasi: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Before Boeken could get too comfortable, the flop came down {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} to give Nastasi an open-ended straight draw. The {10-Spades} turn didn't complete it, but the {4-Diamonds} river did. A dejected Boeken has to settle for 33rd place, which means we're now down to the final four tables.

Pocket Rockets Keep Patel in the Game

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Steven Silverman raised to 28,000 from the hijack and was met by an all-in three-bet to 108,000 from Emil Patel in the small blind. Silverman didn't seem excited about it, but he made the call nonetheless.

Silverman: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Patel: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Patel was well out in front and stayed there as the board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Ship the double to Patel.

Huge Pot for Soshnikov

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

There was already several hundred thousand in the pot when Ivan Soshnikov bet 190,000 on the turn of a {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs} board, Nicholas Petrangelo making the call for one of the biggest pots yet. The river was the {5-Spades} and Soshnikov moved all in, Petrangelo frowned and folded allowing the Russian to move in among the chip leaders.

Wahlbeck Doubles Through Yan

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ville Wahlbeck
Ville Wahlbeck

On a {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, [Removed:17] and Team PokerStars Pro Ville Wahlbeck had checked and Martins Seilis had bet 52,000. Yan check-raised all in and Wahlbeck tanked briefly before also moving all in, Seilis folded instantly.

Yan: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Wahlbeck: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The {3-Clubs} turn and {J-Clubs} river changed nothing and the Finn secured a big double up while Yan was now left short.

Pertsinidis Busted

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After losing most of his stack in an attempted bluff against Kenneth Hicks, Maximos Pertsinidis was all in for his last 47,000 over the top of a 25,000 raise from Martins Seilis that Christoph Vogelsang had called.

Seilis and Vogelsang both called to see a {4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop where the Latvian player check-called a bet of 35,000. Seilis check-called further bets of 55,000 on the {3-Spades} turn and 90,000 on the {4-Hearts} river but Seilis made the call with {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Vogelsang was forced to show {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Pertsinidis flipped a losing {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Salter “Sleeps” Amid “Ante-Gate” “Drama”

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Nikita Nikolaev made his way to table 4 where Jack Salter was asleep. Well perhaps not asleep, maybe just resting his eyes. But it’s hard to tell because his face was obscured, leaning as it was on his arms which are crossed on the table.
Salter has less than 100,000 on front of him. This is a good thing. A big stack right now would leave him with nowhere to rest his head. This way, he can build his stack up gradually throughout the day as he wakes up, as the PokerStars Blog reports.
