The 2014 Aussie Millions Champ Falls

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Ami Barer
Ami Barer

After the cutoff opened for 6,000, 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event winner Ami Barer three-bet to a hefty 63,000. With less than 30,000 behind, he was basically signaling that he was all in. The small blind folded, but then Artem Litvinov moved all in from the big for 93,000 or so. The initial raiser folded and Barer called off.

Barer: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Litvinov: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Spades} and that was all she wrote for Barer.

Karamalikis vs. Danchev

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

While Ami Barer was being eliminated at one table, another player found himself all in at another. We're talking about Australian Jonathan Karamalikis, who shoved for his last 26,100 with the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} only to run into the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} of EPT9 PCA champ Dimitar Danchev.

Karamalikis was in big trouble, and he stood in preparation for his exit when the {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop failed to deliver. He paused when the {9-Spades} turn gave him outs, but the {K-Hearts} river wasn't what he needed.

Karamalikis and Barer exited the tournament floor together, no doubt informing the other of the specifics surrounding their demise.

Zack Puchkov'd

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

After Marc-Andre Ladouceur raised the button and Konstantin Puchkov called from the small blind, Daniel Zack moved all in for 46,800 from the big. Ladouceur folded, and Puchkov shrugged before tossing in a chip to signify a call.

Puchkov: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Zack: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Zack was ahead, but Puchkov was drawing to live cards. The {j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop gave Zack a pair of jacks, but Puchkov picked up an open-ended straight draw. The {6-Clubs} turn was harmless, but the {7-Clubs} river wasn't. Puchkov spiked his straight and Zack suddenly found himself busto.

Kanit Folds to Five Bet Shove

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Artem Litvinov raised to 8,500 from under the gun and Marc-Andre Ladouceur one seat further clicked it to 21,000. In the big blind, Mustapha Kanit four-bet to 37,000 and Litvinov bowed out. Ladouceur moved all in for 124,600 and that put Kanit at risk with an even stack. The Italian, living on Malta for quite some time already, eventually mucked his cards.

Huge Sweat In Favor of Muhlocker

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ognjen Sekularac opened the action with a raise to 8,100 and Thomas Muhlocker moved all in for 67,000 from the button. The Serbian high stakes cash game player tank called and it was time for a showdown:

Muhlocker: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Sekularac: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} was a disaster for the Austrian as it delivered an additional flush draw for his opponent. Neither did the {7-Spades} turn change anything. But the {A-Spades} on the river gave him the better pair and he can enjoy the ongoing massage a bit longer.

Mickey Petersen was less fortunate. He got the remainder of his short stack in with the {A-}{8-} and Ole Schemion made a wheel on the turn with the {A-}{3-}.

Vamplew Short, Dato Even Shorter

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a limped three way pot the {2-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop was checked through. On the {5-Spades} turn Tamer Kamel bet 5,500 and only David Vamplew called. Vamplew did so again on the {Q-Hearts} river for 15,500 only to see Kamel turn over the {2-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for two pair.

Andrea Dato was all in pre flop for less than 20,000 and got two callers in Alex Bilokur and Ismail Erkenov. Both checked the {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} flop. Bilokur then bet 15,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn and Erkenov called before both checked down the {9-Hearts} river.

Erkenov showed the {K-Spades}{9-Spades}, Dato the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Bilokur the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Triple up for the Italian, who remains very short.
