There were already 6,000 in the middle of the pot on the 
turn and Ami Barer fired 3,000. His opponent made a reluctant call and it was no surprise to see the final bet of 7,125 on the 
river go through without any need for a showdown. The Aussie Millions champ is back to starting stack and grind mode has been activated.
Elisabeth Hille was less fortunate. She returned from the previous break as one of the shortest stacks and hit the rail within the first 15 minutes of the new level.

Just as the level started Italian PokerStars player Antonio Ranaldi approached former EPT Champ Vicky Coren and asked if he could have his picture taken with her. Of course Coren obliged but explained that she wouldn’t be able to stand up from the table as she had just been dealt a hand and didn’t want to risk having it declared dead. Ranaldi crouched down, got his souvenir and went away happy. Coren folded her hand.

Oleg Lechii is free rolling the EPT Sanremo Main Event, courtesy of PokerTracker, who ran a sweepstake competition which Lechii subsequently won. It meant switching from his regular 25 cent game to the world of high stakes competition, which he discusses with Sarah Grant after his first two levels of play.

Dominik Nitsche raised from the cutoff to 800 taking advantage of an absent player on the button.Gerson Giroti Nunes
defended his big blind and they saw a flop of 
. Nunes checked and Nitsche continued for 700. Nunes then raised him to 2,000.
Nitsche shrugged and flicked his cards away. Nunes showed him the apologetically but Nitshce wasn’t that bothered and went back to tapping on his phone.

Gaetano Preite from Italy got the remainder of his short stack, not more than 8,000 from what we could see, in and his opponent, who held the , had him drawing dead on the 
turn. The on the river was not important, and Preite hit the rail.

Roberto Romanello spoke to PokerNews earlier in the day about his hopes of becoming a two time EPT champion, the first ever, and the belief he has in himself every time as he sits down at the table. That dream is still alive at this moment but it is slipping from view.
We watched a few pots where Romanello either opened in position and was subsequently raised out of the hand by subsequent action, or he got to the flop multi-way and couldn’t seem to make a hand.

Jack Salter was in the big blind and called the extra to make up 700 as four players went to the flop.
They saw
