Reichardt Richer

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Sven Reichardt, a PokerStars player from Germany, and Stefan Vagner were in a hand with another player on a flop of {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}. All three checked and they saw a turn card {q-Spades}. Reichardt led out for 3,600 and both players called.
The river card was the {j-Clubs} and Reichardt continued again, this time for 7,200. He found one caller in Vagner who nodded his head and mucked his cards upon seeing the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} of Reichardt for a trickily played flopped set.

Walthaus Loses Big

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Bernabeu Guilabert raised it up to 425 and right next to him Jorn Walthaus made a reraise. He had two 1,000 in front of him but it certainly was a little less than the full 2,000. We wouldn't find out how much he had three bet to exactly as there was a lot more action to follow.

Sebastian von Toperczer made a cold four bet to 3,000 from the big blind and Guilabert folded. Walthaus five bet to 6,050 and Von Toperczer made the call out of position.

{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Von Toperczer checked to Walthaus who bet out 5,400. The German player made the call and checked again to Walthaus on the {J-Spades} on the turn. Walthaus put his opponent all in and Von Toperczer quickly called for his remaining 19,800.

Walthaus knew his {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} was no good anymore the joy Von Toperczer called his all in with. And indeed, Von Toperczer had gotten lucky with his {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and just a king could spoil his double up party. The river wasn't a king, in fact it was the {J-Clubs} giving him quads.

O’Kearney Sets up Christoforou

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

There were five players to the flop following an early raise to 500 including PokerStars player Andreas Christoforou on the button and Dara O'Kearney, a qualifier from Ireland.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

It checked around to Christoforou who bet 1,625 and was quickly called by O'Kearney. The remaining players folded and it went heads up to a turn card {7-Diamonds}. Both players checked and the {2-Spades} on the river saw O'Kearney bet out 2,000.

Christoforou tried to puzzle it out. He checked his cards again, asked O’Kearney a question which only got a shake of the head from the Irishman, checked his cards again and folded his {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} face up. O’Kearney obligingly showed him his {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flopped set and gathered in the chips.

Van Til's Long Overdue

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Johan van Til has been one of the biggest online pros from the Netherlands for many years, and if you would ask any poker fan in that country they would all say the man from Groningen is long overdue a big live score.

Van Til recorded his first live tournament cash at the 2008 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure followed by a big slate of final-two table finishes in big events like the WPT Championship, EPT Copenhagen, Bellagio Cup and EPT Tallinn. In total Van Til has cashed $289,219 in live tournaments, but across Full Tilt and PokerStars the man known as busto_soon has racked up just shy of $5.5 million in cashes. This makes Van Til the highest grossing Dutch online MTT player, but everyone's still waiting for him to take down an EPT, WPT or WSOP event.

When we found Van Til he had about 46,000 chips out in front of him, but two hands later things looked a lot different for the Dutchman. First Istvan Birizdo raised to 500 and Van Til called from the small blind. The flop brought out {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} and Van Til check-called 600.

On the turn the {2-Hearts} hit and this time Van Til check-called 1,075. The river completed the board with the {Q-Clubs} and Van Til opted to fold when Birizdo bet another 3,000. Two hands later Oleg Vasylchenko raised it up to 500 from middle position and Van Til three-bet to 1,200 from the cutoff.

The action folded back to Vasylchenko and he four-bet to 3,300. Van Til picked up even more chips and five-bet to 7,000 and Vasylchenko made the call.

The flop brought out {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Van Til checked behind when Vasylchenko tapped the table. On the turn the {3-Diamonds} hit and Vasylchenko bet 6,500, which was called by Van Til. The river completed the board with the {J-Clubs}. Vasylchenko now bet 5,000 and Van Til tanked for a solid minute before letting go of his hand.

Van Til dropped to 22,000 and he's looking to build his stack back up after taking two hits. His first big live tournament victory is still very far away.

"I Thought I Was Winning"

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Dave Shallow
Dave Shallow

David Shallow from the United Kingdom raised it up to 700 under the gun on the still six handed table as two players hadn't returned from break yet. Joep van den Bijgaart was next to him and called from the hijack.

{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} on the flop and Shallow continued with a 1,100 bet. Van den Bijgaart made the call and called another 2,400 on the {7-Clubs} turn. The river brought the {3-Diamonds} into play and Shallow checked. Van den Bijgaart bet 6,200 and Shallow quickly called.

Van den Bijgaart proudly showed his {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a turned set but would soon find out that hand wasn't winning. Shallow tabled {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} while letting out a little sigh.

"I thought I was winning" said Van den Bijgaart who still looked a little puzzled while handing over his chips. Shallow added he was planning to check raise but decided otherwise in the end.
