Semisoshenko Doubles Through Zisimopoulos

We found Maksim Semisoshenko all in and at risk before the flop for his last 98,000 against Georgios Zisimopoulos. The hands were turned over to find Semisoshenko in a dominating position.

Abdellatif Thriving

Jonathan Abdellatif started with around 200,000 in chips and squared off with big stack Amir Touma early on. In the first level the two of them clashed in a big hand and Abdellatif filled us in on the details.

Touma opened under the gun for 7,000 and Abdellatif three bet to 18,000 from middle position with {K-}{J-} off suit. Touma called.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} and Touma checked. Abdellatif made a bet of 11,000 and Touma raised to 25,000. Abdellatif called in position.

Touma bet another 40,000 on the {8-} turn and Abdellatif called again.

The river {K-} made Touma check. Abdellatif shoved all in for around 105,000 and Touma called with {Q-}{Q-}.

Several smaller pots got Abdellatif up to 540,000.

With just 6 players to go before the in the money stage of the tournament is there, WSOP Main Event runner up Felix Stephensen has been eliminated.

He was down to about 50,000 and shoved over a raise with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. His opponent called with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Stephensen failed to improve with the board not getting higher than a nine.

Pecheux Brings us Closer to the Money

The action folded to Erwann Pecheux in the small blind and he shoved, putting Evgeny Taranyuk under pressure. Taranyuk had about 80,000 chips left, and he decided to risk them all.

Lucian Over Virtanen

Boghean Andrei Lucian raised to 9,500 from middle position and it folded around to Aki Virtanen in the cutoff who three-bet to 22,000. The button and blinds folded, putting action back on Lucian. He called to see a flop.

The dealer fanned {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts} on the felt and both players checked to see the {8-Hearts} fall on fourth street. Lucian moved 36,500 into the middle and Virtanen opted to stay the course.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Lucian thought for a moment before betting 70,500. Virtanen let his hand go and Lucian was awarded the pot.

Hiatullah Short on the Bubble

The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, and Juanda checked again. Ivarsson upped his bet to 20,000 and slid it across the line. Juanda folded, and Ivarsson won the pot.
