Cristinel Sandu Eliminated

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Cristinel Sandu
Cristinel Sandu

Pascal Lefrancois opened for 125,000 under the gun plus one and action folded to Cristinel Sandu in the big blind. Sandu raised to 350,000 with about 480,000 behind. Lefrancois shoved all in and Sandu snap called.

Pascal Lefrancois: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Cristinel Sandu: {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The {2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop was full of blanks, but the last nine in the deck on the turn sure wasn't; {9-Clubs}.

"Give me a club!" Sandu said.

No club hit and instead the {7-Diamonds} hit the river, knocking out Sandu.

Lopes Falls to Jensen

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Mario Lopez
Mario Lopez

Frederik Jensen just raked in another massive pot, busting Mario Lopez after having hit trips on the river.

The action started with a raise to 120,000 from Lopez and Jensen defended his big blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Jensen check-called a bet of 105,000.

On the turn the {J-Hearts} hit and both players checked.

The river completed the board with the {6-Diamonds} and Jensen moved all in, to put Lopez under pressure for his last 700,000 chips. After a while Lopez made the call, and Jensen tabled {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for trips.

Lopez's friends on the rail thought that the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} of their friend had won, but the soon realized that the pot was pushed to Jensen. Lopez exited and Jensen is now near the top.

LeFrancois' Monster Bluff Fails

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Pascal Lefrancois
Pascal Lefrancois

Andreas Samuelsson raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and Pascal LeFrancois called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and LeFrancois checked to Samuelsson who bet 140,000, and the Canadian pro check-raised to 400,000.

Samuelsson tanked for a bit before making the call, and with a little over a million chips in the middle, the turn brought the {5-Diamonds}.

"All in," LeFrancois announced after about 10 seconds, and Samuelsson went into the tank.

Samuelsson swung his hand, filled with chips, forward and shook his head. After another hesitation, and with a sour look on his face, the Swede called all in for 1,550,000.

LeFrancois showed {10-Spades}{7-Spades} and had a double gutter against Samuelsson's {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. The river was the {J-Clubs} and Samuelsson's big pair held up in this enormous pot.

Rui Sousa Eliminated by John Juanda

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Rui Sousa
Rui Sousa

Rui Sousa opened for 200,000 even from the hijack with just 40,000 behind. Andreas Samuelsson on the button asked how much the minimum he could raise to was, and made it 340,000 when he learned so.

John Juanda now moved all in from the small blind and the big blind quickly folded. Sousa called for the additional 40,000 and Samuelsson folded, giving Juanda already some chips.

Rui Sousa: {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
John Juanda: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Sousa hit the rail in 18th place.

Roman Korenev Hits the Rail in 17th Place

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Roman Korenev
Roman Korenev

Mario Sanchez Cano opened for 125,000 from the cutoff and Roman Korenev in the big blind moved in for 865,000. Cano asked how much it was, and made the call not long after.

Mario Sanchez Cano: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Roman Korenev: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Korenev was still jamming to his music, though we couldn't tell if it was because he was so relaxed or so nervous. He didn't stop humming when the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop hit, and neither when the {J-Spades} hit the turn.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the river though and with his counterfeited pair of threes now face down in the muck, Korenev got up from the table and wished the remaining players the best of luck.

Denys Shafikov
Denys Shafikov

Denys Shafikov raised to 160,000 under the gun and from his direct left Oleksii Khoroshenin three-bet to 385,000. The action folded back around to Shafikov who went into the tank for several minutes before the clock was called on him. Eventually Shafikov called, and the flop brought out {9-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Shafikov check-called a bet of 325,000 on the flop and the turn was the {8-Clubs}.

This time both players checked and on the river the {6-Diamonds} hit. This time Shafikov lead out for 400,000 and after tanking for quite some time Khoroshenin folded {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} face up.
