Altergott Scores Back-to-Back Eliminations

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Max Altergott
Max Altergott

After Sam Trickett opened with a raise, Max Altergott three-bet to 55,000. Trickett responded by four-betting all in for what looked like 200,000 or so and Altergott made the call.

Trickett: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Altergott: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Trickett found himself in dire straits on the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop, but the {J-Clubs} turn kept him drawing live. Trickett needed another jack, but it didn't come as the {K-Clubs} blanked on the river.

In the very next hand, Altergott raised to 23,000 from the hijack only to have Jason Koon three-bet all in for 177,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Altergott and he thought for a minute or so before making the call.

Altergott: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Koon: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

It was a flip, but the {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} flop kept Altergott in the lead. The {8-Spades} turn gave Koon some chop outs as a spade would give both players a flush, but it'd be the {K-Clubs} that peeled off on the river. It was a blank as far as Koon was concerned.

"Good game guys," he offered before taking his leave.
