McDonald Doubles

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mike McDonald, who's in for €300,000 today, opened for 11,000 under the gun with about 70,000 behind. Action folded to Byron Kaverman on the button and he three-bet to 23,000. Both blinds folded and McDonald shoved all in. Kaverman reluctantly called.

Kaverman showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, McDonald tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and McDonald doubled. Seidel admitted he had something as well, and probably would've doubled McDonald if Kaverman hadn't three-bet.

Seidel Busts Silver

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Byron Kaverman opened the button and Max Silver in the small blind made the call. Erik Seidel over in the big blind squeezed and Kaverman folded, Silver called.

Silver checked to Seidel on {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the 8-time bracelet winner made a continuation bet. Silver check raised all in and Seidel made the call.

Silver showed {K-}{10-} and was up against {K-}{K-}. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn didn't help Silver and neither did the {Q-Hearts} on the river.

Out (and Back In)!

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Daniel Negreanu has been eliminated from the tournament, but bought back in right away. We can't say the same for Martin Kabrhel, Max Altergott, Daniel Colman and Martin Jacobson just yet. They busted, but haven't given it another try so far.

We were witness of Kabrhel's bust out. Erik Seidel had 9,000 in front of him on the button when we arrived, and was facing the decision to call or fold to Martin Kabrhel's big blind shove for 115,500.

Kabrhel was talking, as per usual. He wanted to tell his own hand, but wasn't allowed by the dealer. Wether was something he said, or something else, but Seidel eventually did call with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Kabrhel showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Kabrhel hit the rail. Seidel is up to 600,000 in the meantime.

Dani Stern raised to 8,000 from the cutoff seat, and Jason Mercier reraised all in for 60,000 from the big blind. Stern called with the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and Mercier had the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to give Mercier the double up thanks to a rivered king-high straight.

One for Danzer

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dani Stern raised to 8,000 on the button, and George Danzer called from the big blind to see the flop come down {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Danzer checked, Stern bet 12,000, and Danzer called.

The turn was the {J-Spades}, and both players checked to see the {3-Diamonds} land on the river. Danzer led for 33,000, and Stern folded.

Seiver Jams Turn On Mercier

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jason Mercier opened from the hijack seat with a raise to 8,000. Scott Seiver called from the cutoff position, and everyone else folded before the two saw the {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. Mercier bet 8,000, and Seiver raised to 18,000. Mercier called.

The {A-Spades} landed on the turn, and Mercier tank-checked with 61,000 behind. Seiver moved all in, and Mercier folded.

As They Say On EPTLive, Everybody Loves a Chopped Pot

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

From under the gun, Talal Shakerchi raised to 10,000. Carlos Chadha called from the big blind, and the flop came {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Both players checked, and the turn was the {A-Hearts}. Chadha checked, Shakerchi bet 15,000, and Chadha called.

The river was the {2-Spades} to pair the board, and Chadha led with a bet of 10,000. Shakerchi made the call.

Chadha tabled the {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and Shakerchi had he {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Both players had two pair, aces and deuces, and played the king kicker on board to chop up the pot.
