Bad Beat Sends Higgins to the Rail Just Shy of the Dinner Break

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

After Patrick Leonard opened for 1,400 and Anthony Zinno called, Simon Higgins raised to 5,500 from the small blind. Quan Zhou was in the big and simply moved all in for roughly 60,000. Leonard folded, as did Zinno, and Higgins snap-called off for 30,000.

Higgins: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Zhou: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Zhou was way behind, though he did pair up on the {5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Higgins was still a heavy favorite, but then disaster struck when the {Q-Diamonds} spiked on the turn.

"Yeah," Zhou exclaimed. To make matters worse for Higgins, the {Q-Spades} completed the board on the river to give Zhou quads. Higgins lamented his bad luck, collected his things, and exited the tournament just shy of the dinner break.
