Things got moving in the right direction for him when he bet 29,000 into a pot of about the same size, heads-up with JC Alvarado on an 
board.
Alvarado went deep into the tank on this one, staring down the hulky Stammen for a minute or two before making the call.
He could only smile and muck when Stammen showed 
for the straight.
