Urbanovich on a Roll

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich, the EPT11 Player of the Year, is on a roll here in the €50K Super High Roller.

In a recent hand, there was around 270,000 in the pot and a board reading {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} when Urbanovich checked from the big blind and David Peters bet 188,000 from the cutoff. Urbanovich tossed in a single chip to signify a call, and Peters confidently tabled the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair.

Unfortunately for him, it was no good as Urbanovich had rivered a bigger two with the {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Urbanovich smiled and simply shrugged as if to indicate he know he was running well.

Rossiter Makes his Exit

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jeff Rossiter
Jeff Rossiter

Jeff Rossiter shoved all in from the hijack for not too many chips, and was met by the all in from his neighbor Alex Bilokur in the cutoff. "Call" the dealer said, "That's a raise" Rossiter added. It was around 330,000 total and all other players got out of the way.

Jeff Rossiter: {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Alex Bilokur: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Rossiter got up from the table. "A four would be a good card" Juanda said. "A four would have been a good card" Ole Schemion said after the board ran out {K-Hearts}, {2-Diamonds}.

"A four would have been a good card" Rossiter repeated Schemion with a wry smile after gathering his things. Rossiter down in 23rd place.

Greenwood Eliminates Chidwick

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened with a raise (to what appeared to be 30,000) from middle position. Mustapha Kanit on the button made the call and Sam Greenwood in the big blind squeezed to 105,000. Chidwick thought about it for a bit and shoved for around half a million. Kanit's instant fold was followed by Greenwood's instant call.

Stephen Chidwick: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Sam Greenwood: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out an uneventful {6-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Spades} and Chidwick made his exit. Greenwood was up to 1.4 million after the hand but collected some more chips the next hand. Urbanovich opened to 33,000 from the hijack and Mustapha Kanit three-bet to 83,000 from the cutoff. Greenwood in the small blind cold four bet to 200,000 and both Urbanovich and Kanit folded.

Juanda Doubles Through Rossiter

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

John Juanda has a little more breathing room after he doubled through Jeff Rossiter a few moments ago.

Juanda moved all-in from the small blind for 75,000 in total with {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Rossiter called in the big blind with the dominated {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. A final board reading {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} saw the pot shipped to Juanda, and left Rossiter light on chips.

Kaverman Shoves on the River

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Sam Greenwood raised to 25,000 from early position, Byron Kaverman called in the hijack and Mustapha Kanit called in the big blind. Kanit checked on the {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, Greenwood continued and only Kaverman called. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Greenwood slowed down and checked. Kaverman bet 27,000 and Greenwood made the call.

On the {6-Spades} river, Greenwood checked again, only to see Kaverman move all-in for 110,000 in total. Greenwood replayed the hand over in his head, shaped to fold, saw no reaction from Kaverman, and sent his cards into the muck.

Kurganov Wins a Massive One Versus Thorel

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Igor Kurganov made a raise before the flop, and Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 75,000 from one of the blinds. Kurganov made the call, and the flop brought out {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Thorel moved all in for 470,000, and Kurganov called right away.

Kurganov: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Thorel: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Thorel sighed when he saw Kurganov's nearly unbeatable nut flush. The {9-Spades} turn sealed it for Kurganov to leave Thorel drawing dead, and the river was the {6-Hearts}.

Thorel headed for the exit, while Kurganov soared to over 2 million in chips.

Schemion bet 20,000 and Reinkemeier moved all in for 143,000, and Schemion called.

Schemion: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}
Reinkemeier: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}, {Q-Hearts} and Reinkemeier doubled up.

Kenney Chips Up Through Kaverman and Rossiter

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On a {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop we saw the small blind check after which Bryn Kenney bet 21,000 and only Byron Kaverman called on the button. The turn was the {4-Spades} and Kenney bet another 37,000 which Kaverman called.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Kenney got a fold after betting 63,000.

On the very next hand Kaverman raised to 20,000 and Kenney three-bet from the button to 38,000 and Rossiter four-bet from the small blind to 92,000. Kenney tanked for a bit before moving all in, and Rossiter folded right away.
