Kurganov Can't Finish Off the "Tight-Man1"

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to chip leader Igor Kurganov on the button and he raised to 35,000. Christoph "Tight-Man1" Vogelsang then moved all in for 87,000 from the small blind, and Kurganov ended up making the call.

Kurganov: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
Vogelsang: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Vogelsang needed some help, and he found it when the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop gave him both a pair and flush draw. The {J-Clubs} turn changed nothing, and neither did the {4-Clubs} river. Ship the double to Vogelsang.

Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman raised before the flop after which Dzmitry Urbanovich three-bet to 77,000. The action folded back to Kaverman, and he moved all in for 285,000 chips. Urbanovich went into the tank for minutes, before the clock was called on him.

Eventually Urbanovich called, and the showdown followed.

Urbanovich: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Kaverman: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Kaverman got knocked out in 20th place. Anthony Zinno, who's Kaverman in a battle with for the GPI Player of the Year title, is still alive and kicking in this event, and a cash could give him the lead.

Everybody Loves a Chopped Pot...

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The EPT Live stream doesn't start for a day or two yet, but Steve O'Dwyer and Timothy Adams are getting Joe Stapleton and Co. ready for their famous jingle, "Everybody loves a chopped pot."

Adams moved all-in for 202,000 and O'Dwyer called to put him at risk. Adams turned over {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and O'Dwyer the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. A final board reading {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} ensured the pot was chopped between the two players.

Schemion Chops a Pot Then Shoves on Dvoress

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On a {10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} flop, Dario Sammartino bet 16,000 from the small blind and Ole Schmion called from the big blind. Both players then checked down the {K-Hearts} turn and the {8-Clubs} river, and chopped the pot thanks to Schemion holding {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Sammartino the {Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The very next hand, Daniel Dvoress opened from under the gun and instantly folded when Schemion three-bet all-in from the small blind.
