Adams Makes the Right Call

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

A pot of 75,000 had emerged to the {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} river and Timothy Adams faced the shove of Ariel Celestino, who held the far bigger stack. Adams took his time and eventually called off for his last 54,400 to reveal {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Celestino bluffed and was caught with a busted flush draw, holding {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Let's Shove the Small Blind

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The action folded all the way around to Sylvain Loosli and he open-shoved into Luc Greenwood. The latter tank-called for his tournament life and last 73,300 chips with the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Loosli was slightly ahead with {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} but Greenwood got there on a board of {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

One hand later, Greenwood shoved into Fernando Brito and the Portuguese called with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Greenwood only had the {A-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the cruel board of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs} busted Brito.

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Dominik Nitsche opened to 7,000 from under the gun and Igor Kurganov then made it 41,000 out of the small blind before calling off his stack of around 180,000 to the shove of Nitsche.

Kurganov: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Nitsche: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the pair of nines held for Nitsche to send Kurganov to the rail.

Bleiker Busts Frey; Doubles Arruda

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Kyle Frey
Kyle Frey

Within two hands, the stack of Felix Bleiker fluctuated quite a bit. First he got the stack of Kyle Frey, who had shoved {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} into his {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} on the flop {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} and failed to improve with {4-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river.

Then, William Arruda doubled for 29,000 with {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} against the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} of Bleiker with the board running out {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Hadad From Hero to Zero

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Or Hadad
Or Hadad

Within two hands, the stack of Or Hadad went from well above average to zero. He first stacked Christoph Vogelsang for 78,200 on a flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} with {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} versus {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} when both the {10-Diamonds} turn and {J-Diamonds} river blanked.

Then, he got into a raising war with Sergey Lebedev. The Russian three-bet to 26,000 out of the big blind and Hadad squeezed to 78,000. Lebedev five-bet and Hadad jammed for more than 200,000 with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

"You got aces?" he asked and Lebedev just nodded, flipping over {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Spades} and that sent Hadad to the rail.

Zaffran Eliminated

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a board of {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} Nicholas Palma made it 9,500 and got a call from Jean Paul Zaffran. Action was then on Luc Greenwood who raised to 35,000. Palma folded but Zaffran moved all-in. Greenwood called.

Greenwood: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Zaffran: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Greenwood had flopped a set, but Zaffran had both straight and flush outs in his favour, but the {j-Hearts} on the turn, and the {7-Spades} on the river meant he exited midway through day 2

Down to 48 Players

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Rui Ferreira was among three players to leave their chair and reduce the field to the last 48 players. He got it in with the {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} against Mark Radoja's {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and failed to improve on a board of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

While Radoja approaches half a million in chips, Dominik Nitsche has extended his lead and Felix Bleiker also moved up as well.

Zisimopoulos and Loosli Shove

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

William Arruda raised to 8,500 chips and Georgios Zisimopoulos moved all in for just over 15 big blinds to enforce a fold.

One table over, Kevin Killeen made it 9,000 to go from the hijack. Diego Ventura three-bet to 23,000 from the cutoff and Sylvain Loosli then moved all in out of the small blind. Whereas Killeen quickly let go, Ventura asked for a count and then folded when it was determined to be 148,000 in total.

Radoja Busts Zisimopoulos

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It seems like Zisimopoulos is in a hurry to get out of here. Moments after he moved all-in over a William Arruda open, he four-bet jammed 90,000 from the hijack, over a Mark Radoja three-bet from the button. Radoja thought before making the call.

Radoja: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Zisimopoulos: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board ran {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Zisimopoulos exited swiftly
