From the button, Mustapha Kanit made it 18,000 to go. Small blind John Juanda three bet to 56,000 and the big blind got out the way. Kanit called, and called Juanda's 60,000 and 120,000 bets on the flop and turn as well. The river came the and both players checked. Juanda's showed for a rivered pair of fives. Kanit took it down holding for the flopped top pair.
In a battle of the Russians, Igor Kurganov was trying to knock out table neighbor Sergey Lebedev and the latter was at risk for 219,000 chips. Kurganov had pocket fours and was trailing the of his fellow countryman.
The board ran out and the kings of Lebedev held up to keep him in the tournament.
With the board reading and a pot of around 130,000 chips to be contested, Sam Greenwood fired a hefty bet worth 250,000 all in green chips. Erik Seidel, who had just slightly more than that, tanked for a few minutes and eventually called.
One table over, there was a three-way flop of and Stanley Choi checked in the big blind. Dan Smith bet 45,000 and Igor Kurganov called on the button, as did Choi. They checked through the turn and Choi's bet worth 76,000 on the found one caller in Kurganov to see the player from Hong Kong turn over for the nut flush.
From middle position, Paul Newey raised to 21,000. Action folded to Max Silver in the small blind and the chipleader three bet to 58,000. Sammartino released from the big blind but Newey shoved all in for 273,000. Silver was quick to call.

Fedor Holz, who satellited in this event last night after making fourth in the €10,000 high roller, has now gone broke.
He opened big slick, Christoph Vogelsang three-bet aces and Holz four-bet stuffed. Vogelsang made the easy call and held on a board of bricks to send the German wunderkind back to the drawing board.
John Juanda raised to 22,000 from the cutoff and Dario Sammartino shoved for 197,000 to claim the pot without showdown.
Timothy Adams did the very same on another table shortly after and it was Sergey Lebedev who forfeited his initial raise of 22,000 chips.
On the heads-up flop of , Christoph Vogelsang checked in the big blind and Daniel Dvoress bet 22,000 from the button. The German called and both players then proceeded to check down the turn and river. Vogelsang flipped over and that won the pot.
Sean Winter defended his big blind to a raise of Erik Seidel. Picking up the action on the turn, Winter checked and Seidel bet 40,000. After some consideration and a raised eyebrow, Winter called and checked again the river. Seidel now made it 62,000 to go and was eventually paid off to reveal for trips queens to claim the pot.
