Up And Down

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

One hand saw both players pick up pocket pairs, but they were under pairs to the board and thus no big pot emerged to see Alexandros Kolonias win it with fours versus deuces. Alexandru Papazian once again won the majority of middle-sized pots to claw back into the lead and then a bigger one.

Kolonias raised to 240,000 and picked up a call by Papazian to see the flop of {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Papazian check-raised from 200,000 to 600,000 and was called before leading the {7-Clubs} turn for 800,000. Kolonias gave him the staredown but eventually folded.

Soon after a limped pot was checked down and Papazian bet the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} river for 125,000. Kolonias called with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a back door straight and Papazian's {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for two pair were no good.
