Exciting Flop Leads Gruissem to Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the button Philipp Gruissem shipped in his 147,000 and received and instant call from Piotr Franczak in the big blind.

"Oh Oh", Gruissem and tablemate Carrel uttered almost simultaneously, but it weren't all that bad for the German high roller when the cards were turned over.

Philipp Gruissem: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Piotr Franczak: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Dealer turned the flop slowly and that resulted in a rollercoaster of emotions for both players. The {9-Spades} in the door was bad news for Gruissem, but the {2-Clubs} was even worse for Franczak. The last card on the flop was the {A-Hearts}, and that gave the Pole a little hope going into the turn and river.

There were no more suprises up the sleeves of the dealer, and the board ran out {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to the delight of Gruissem. Franczak on the other hand didn't show much emotion while he cut out the 147,000.
