Egues takes Two

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Hand 1

Cristian Egues raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Stefan Jedlicka called in the big blind. On the {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, Jedlicka checked and then folded to a bet worth 55,000 by Egues.

Hand 2

Caitlin Hall then raised to 27,000 and Egues called in the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, the Spaniard checked and Hall bet 34,000. Egues check-raised to 80,000 and forced a fold. "Show one," and "a little nine ball," Charlie Carrel and Philipp Gruissem teased, but Egues didn't do them any favor by showing a card.

Larquemin's Aces Don't Get Action

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Christophe Larquemin went all-in from under the gun for 138,000, but couldn't find a caller. As soon as the blinds had folded, he triumphantly slammed the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} onto the felt and collected the pot.

The very next hand was more reason for Larquemin to celebrate when he took a pot off Farid Jattin. Jattin opened preflop to 31,000, and only Larquemin in the big blind called.

On the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop Larquemin open shoved into Jattin, and that was more than the American manage. Jattin folded, and Larquemin scooped another one.

Stephen Chidwick Eliminated in 15th Place (€22,340)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Back from the break, Caitlin Hall raised to 30,000 from the button and Stephen Chidwick defended his big blind. On the flop of {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Chidwick checked and called a continuation bet worth 20,000.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, Chidwick checked again and Hall asked "how much do you have behind Stephen?", then bet enough to give Chidwick the option to call all in or fold with half of his short stack already invested. Chidwick quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Stephen Chidwick: {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Caitlin Hall: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {10-Spades} on the river was a blank and Chidwick was eliminated in 15th place for a payday of €22,340.

Two Big Hands Eats Into the Last Break of the Day

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Kane
Michael Kane

When the tournament staff announced the 20-minute break, there was a big hand developing on both of the two remaining tables.

Neuville vs. Gruissem
On table one Pierre Neuville raised to 27,000 before Gruissem made it 62,000 to go on the button. Neuville called.

Flop came down {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and Neuville check-called 55,000.

The turn {J-Spades} was checked through before river {6-Clubs} hit the felt.

On the river Neuville checked yet again, prompting Gruissem to cut out 125,000 and slide them over the line. Neuville thought long and hard, before beginning an almost ritualistic dance with his chips. Ultimately he put in a raise to 264,000, leaving himself only about 80,000 behind.

"Why so small, don't you want it all?", Gruissem asked. Neuville didn't answer.

"You ARE a bit crazy, Pierre. Otherwise I would have folded long ago", Gruissem followed up. Still no response.

In the end he let it go, and Neuville let out a big grin while stacking the chips.

Kane vs. Ivarsson
On table two it was Kane and Ivarsson battling it out.

Preflop Ivarsson raised to 25,000, and only Kane called.

Flop came down {5-Spades}{A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and Kane check-called 25,000 to see the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. This time the price was 70,000 from Ivarsson, and once again Kane called.

River came {J-Clubs}, and after being checked to a third time Ivarsson bet a hefty 175,000. Kane spend a few minutes contemplating his options and ended up calling and turning over his {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. They were good against Ivarsson's {10-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, and the Brit scooped the pot.

Larquemin Doubles Through Kramer

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Hand 1

[Removed:172] raised to 20,000 on the button and Christophe Larquemin called in the big blind. On the {K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Larquemin check-called a bet of 16,000 and check-folded the {8-Hearts} turn to a second barrel.

Hand 2

One hand later, Kramer raised the cutoff and Larquemin shoved in the small blind for 64,000, Kramer quickly called.

Christophe Larquemin: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
[Removed:172]: {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Marcin Chmielewski Eliminated in 16th Place (€20,250)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Marcin Chmielewski
Marcin Chmielewski

After losing the all in against Hari Bercovici, Marcin Chmiewski moved all in for 148,000 from under the gun. The action folded to Pierre Neuville and he also moved all in with slightly more. Cristian Egues asked for a count and Neuville's shove was for 170,000. The Spaniard eventually called to create a three-way all in.

Marcin Chmiewski: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Pierre Neuville: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Cristian Egues: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} flop left Chmiewski with little hope of a comeback, and the {6-Clubs} on the turn made things official. A now meaningless {4-Clubs} appeared on the river and Neuville essentially tripled up thanks to the small blind and antes, while Chmiewski was eliminated in 16th place for €20,250.
