Chop it Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Oleg Titov has been looking for a double up for quite some time now, but wasn't able to get it when he got it in with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against Diego Zeiter's {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Titov even looked quite worried about the possibilities of a backdoor flush after the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, but turn {8-Spades} sealed the chop, and the river {A-Hearts} was dealt for good measure.

Stokkan Busts to Egues

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Preben Stokkan
Preben Stokkan

The cards were all gone, but Roman Korenev was kind enough to explain what happened while Cristian Egues said in table chat to Philipp Gruissem that it "was the first time I got lucky in the tournament."

Egues raised to 7,000 from the button and Stokkan called in the small blind, Korenev folded the big blind. On the {K-}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop, Stokkan check-raised from 10,000 to 25,000 and Egues moved all in. Stokkan called with {K-}{Q-} and had the better kicker against the {K-}{J-} of Egues.

The turn brought another king and a jack on the river completed a full house for Egues, who appears to be dominating chip leader now.

Jedlicka Turns Two Pair to Send Zeiter Packing

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Stefan Jedlicka
Stefan Jedlicka

Preflop Frederik Jensen opened to 9,000 from early position, Jedlicka made the call on the button before Zeiter squeezed to 31,000 from the small blind. Jensen quickly resigned, but Jedlicka had other things in mind. After a minute of deliberations he announced all in, but before the dealer could even put the red all in triangle in front of the Austrian, Zeiter's chips was in the middle.

Diego Zeiter: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Stefan Jedlicka: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The flop of {9-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} was safe for Zeiter but disaster struck on the turn when the {J-Spades} landed. River was the {8-Diamonds}, and Jedlicka's two pair was good for the 300,000 chips pot.

Tick Tock, Time is Running Out

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Hari Bercovici checked a flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} with around 35,000 in the middle and table neighbor Jyri Merivirta bet 25,000. Bercovici tanked for a long time and eventually an opponent called the clock on him.

Bercovici had one minute to make up his mind and with four seconds left, the Israelian folded.

Painless Double for Larquemin

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Christophe Larquemin started the day as one the biggest stacks in the field but haven't been able to make anything happen. Just now he was at risk with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} against the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Dong Zhao, but with a {Q-}-high flop and no flush- or straight-draw shenanigans on the turn, Larquemin secured the double up.

Jedlicka Takes from Lakhov

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

After a three-bet pot preflop, the flop of {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the {A-Clubs} turn brought no betting action between Stefan Jedlicka and Alexander Lakhov. Jedlicka then bet the {J-Diamonds} river when Lakhov had checked to him and the Russian eventually paid off the bet worth 22,500 by Jedlicka. The Austrian turned over the {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} for two pair and Lakhov mucked.

Hall Sets the Trap and Falls Right Into it

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

Felix Stephensen raised to 8,500 from under the gun, Caitlin Hall called two seats over and Neuville peeled the flop as well from the cutoff. Blinds folded.

Flop came down {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and both Stephensen and Hall checked to Neuville, who overbet jammed his 48,000 into the pot. Stephensen quickly let it go, but Hall snapped it off and flipped over {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. The aces needed some help, however, when Neuville turned over {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and with the turn being {2-} and the river {10-}, Neuville dragged the pot.

Hall is now in dire straits with only 6 big blinds.

Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Gleb Tremzin opened the action with a raise to 10,000 from the hijack and Connor Drinan, who had been four-betting previously to build his stack slightly, then three-bet to 27,500. Tremzin moved all in and Drinan called it off for more than 85,000.

Connor Drinan: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Gleb Tremzin: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and the two overcards immediately hit for Tremzin to send Drinan to the rail.
