Hall Finds a Double Through Chidwick

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised it up to 12,000 from early position before Caitlin Hall shoved from the button for 69,000. Even though Pierre Neuville looked very interested, he ultimately surrendered his small blind, and [Removed:172] folded his big blind.

Chidwick called quickly and flipped over {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, and they were flipping against the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Hall.

Board ran out {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and Hall doubled up.

Neuville Shoves Against Chidwick

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 12,000 and Pierre Neuville called in the big blind, then immediately put on his sunglasses. The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} and Neuville checked. Chidwick continued for 11,000 and Neuville check-raised to 30,000 in order to pick up a call. On the {Q-Diamonds} turn, Neuville took off the sunglasses and then moved all in.

Chidwick asked for a count, but ultimately folded to the shove worth 74,000.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Pierre Neuville and Frederik Jensen open-shoved their smaller stacks and claimed the blinds and antes.

Then, Cristian Egues raised from early position, Alexander Ivarsson three-bet on the button and Egues four-bet to 115,000. Ivarsson called and Egues instantly shoved the {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop to force a fold from Ivarsson.

Small Pot for Kramer

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The restart of the last three tables has been rather quiet and in a different section of the tournament room.

[Removed:172] raised from the small blind and Jyri Merivirta called in the big blind. On the flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Kramer continued for 14,000 and Merivirta folded.

Good Old Fashioned Setup

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Heath and Marcin Chmielewski just played a monster pot, but with the monsters they showed up, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

On a board of {7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} Heath bet 48,000 before Chmielewski shipped it all in for 100,000 more. Heath wasted no time calling with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}, but despite his set he still had to fade quite a few outs against Chmielewski's {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The river was the {6-Diamonds}, and that sent the voluminous pot to Chmielewski.

Grochulski Sends Stack to Jattin

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Gzregorz Grochulski raised from under the gun and Farid Jattin called in the small blind. On the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, Jattin check-called a continuation bet and checked again the {A-Spades} turn. Grochulski shoved for around 60,000 and Jattin snap-called.

Grzegorz Grochulski: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Farid Jattin: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The ace on the turn was the worst possible card, as Grochulski had found top pair only to find himself drawing dead. The {2-Diamonds} on the river was already a formality and play was halted after as the last 24 participants were reached.

Tomasz Panek

Tomasz Panek: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Christophe Larquemin: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Panek failed to improve in order to reduce the field to the last 25.

Ignat Chops Another Leg Off Franczak

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Piotr Franczak
Piotr Franczak

In a pot of 50,000, Liviu Ignat of Romania bet 34,000 into Piotr Franczak on a board of {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Francak tanked a bit before committing the chips, and together they saw the {8-Diamonds} peel off on the river.

Once again Ignat took the lead, but this time the price was 85,000. Franczak considered his options, but couldn't find a way out of it and threw in a single yellow chip indicating the call.

Ignat revealed a king-high flush with {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and that was plenty to seal the deal and drag the heavy pot.

Franczak has for a long time been one of the biggest stacks in the room, but his pyramid of chips has had quite a few towers chopped off this past level.
