Papazian Leaves Grafton Short

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

On an {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board, Davidi Kitai and Alexandru Papazian checked to Sam Grafton who bet 800. Kitai folded and Papazian called.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Papazian check-called 3,600.

The river was the {7-Hearts}. Papazian checked again and Grafton bet 9,500. Papazian then check-raised to 30,000.

Grafton had around 36,000 behind.

"Might as well take my time," said Grafton and as he began to think, the dealer eyed how many time extensions he had behind. "Don't worry about it," said Grafton as he continued to mutter under his breath trying to work out whether to call or not.

In the end Grafton moved all in, however, crucially he used two movements to put his remaining chips over the line. It was ruled just a call. Papazian had tried to call Grafton's all in, but in the end turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} to take down the pot and leave Grafton short.
