Zagalo Eliminated by Petersen

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Pedro Zagalo
Pedro Zagalo

On a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Alexander Petersen and Pedro Zagalo clashed and the latter was all in and at risk.

Pedro Zagalo: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Alexander Petersen: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Petersen expected to see a set or pocket aces as per table chat and was somewhat surprised, he locked up the hand with the {6-Spades} on the turn. The meaningless {2-Hearts} appeared on the river and Petersen dragged in the pot while enjoying a massage.

"I guess he was unhappy with me because I opened to many pots," Petersen added in table chat.

Bedell Eliminated by Soininen

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The flop showed {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Tom-Aksel Bedell got his remaining 38,000 in against Niko Soininen.

Tom-Aksel Bedell: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Niko Soininen: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Soininen had flopped top two pair while Bedell had top pair and a gutshot straight draw. The {6-Diamonds} turn gave the Norwegian a few more outs, but the {5-Hearts} river was a blank to eliminate Bedell.

Komaromi Takes a Hit

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel, who finished 2nd in yesterday's €50,000 Single-Day High Roller, was all in and at risk for 30,300 before the flop and Alex Komaromi on the button isolated with a reraise to force out everyone else.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Alex Komaromi: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Thorel doubled with a full house.

Karapanos Busts Before Dinner; Cahill Joins the Big Stacks

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Michail Karapanos was already all in while the turn showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and a bet of 50,000 by Dany Chidiac was called by Seamus Cahill. Chidiac also bet the {K-Clubs} on the river for 55,000 and Cahill announced "I call" for most of his remaining stack.

Chidiac smalled his {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on the table, which Cahill had beat with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for kings and queens. Karapanos mucked {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a wrap that missed and was eliminated in the last hand before dinner.

Shak Doubles Through Bujtas

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Dominykas Karmazinas
Dominykas Karmazinas

"I wasn't even going to play this hand if I wasn't for this guy," Dan Shak said and added "I will probably bust now" after he got it in against Laszlo Bujtas with the turn showing {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Dan Shak: {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Laszlo Bujtas: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Shak doubled with a set of deuces.

"You owe me dinner now," Cord Garcia chimed in. Their table broke right after, as Dominykas Karmazinas had busted in one of the first hands after the dinner break, which reduced the field to the last 40 hopefuls.

Cahill Takes the Lead

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

"Seat open" came the announcement from table two and Jacob Ramussen, who had a decent stack before the dinner break, was on his way out of the door. A quick look at his former table revealed a massive stack for Seamus Cahill and Bogdan Capitan was kind enough to provide the details.

According to Capitan, Johan Espholm had raised and picked up a caller in Dany Chidiac, then Cahill squeezed to 20,000 and Rasmussen in the big blind reraised the pot to 80,000. Action folded to Cahill and he called to see a {7-}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Rasmussen jammed with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} for the flush draw and Cahill called with {A-}{A-}{6-}{5-} for aces and the open-ended straight draw.

Also out: Andre Filipe Veiga Araujo Dos Santos and Sampo Ryynanen.
