Ognyan Dimov Eliminated in 3rd Place (€725,621)

Ognyan Dimov

Ognyan Dimov moved all in for 3.4m from the button with {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and was snap-called by Haoxiang Wang in the big blind holding {k-Spades}{8-Hearts} after Piotr Nurzynski had folded in the small blind.

Dimov's hand was dominated, and he would need help from the board to survive.

The {4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop was safe for Wang, as was the {6-Hearts} turn. Dimov needed to spike a seven on the river to keep his dream alive, but the {q-Hearts} fell, and it was not to be for the Bulgarian.

Dimov's exit in 3rd place for his agreed up amount of €725,621 marked the end of the qualifiers last longer and meant that Piotr Nurzynski won the Platinum Pass, and Wang was gifted the winner's Platinum pass because of this.

Dimov will have to wait until the next EPT for another chance of becoming a two-time champion after his win in Deauville back in 2015.
