Jonsson Takes Down Farrell

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Ben Farrell
Ben Farrell

On a flop reading {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and with a pot of 220,000 in the middle, Adam Jonsson moved all in from the small blind for about 1,900,000 and Ben Farrell with about 500,000 behind, went deep into the tank. Being on the payjump, he burned through quite a few of his remaining time bank cards before making the call.

Ben Farrell: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}
Adam Jonsson: {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Farrell had a pair of fours but Jonsson had a pair of fives and an open-ended straight draw. The turn brought the {6-Hearts} improving Jonsson's hand to sixes and fives and the {3-Clubs} river completed the board for Jonsson to win the pot and eliminate Farrell from the tournament.

The remaining 31 players are now guaranteed at least €36,550 for their efforts.

Patur Sends Mik Out With Bad Beat

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Marian Mik
Marian Mik

At the feature table, after a raise from Balakrishna Reddy Patur in the hijack, Marian Mik shoved for 510,000 in the cutoff and Patur called him off.

Balakrishna Reddy Patur: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Marian Mik: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Mik was in a solid spot to double up but the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop was dreadful for the Ukranian. The {q-Spades} on the turn provided him with a glimmer of hope but the {k-Clubs} on the river was the wrong paint. Mik departed in 30th place and received €36,550.

Patur Makes Odeen Fold Best Hand Twice in a Row

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jerry Odeen & Balakrishna Patur
Jerry Odeen & Balakrishna Patur

Just before the break at the feature table, Jerry Odeen and Balakrisha Patur clashed in two back-to-back pots. First, Patur raised from under the gun with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Jerry Odeen defended the big blind with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Odeen check-called 75,000 on the {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and Odeen now check-called 150,000 from the American. On the {2-Hearts} river, Odeen checked, Patur bet 500,000, and Odeen folded the best hand.

In the subsequent hand, Pascuale Braco raised to 90,000 from early position with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}, Jerry Odeen called {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} from the small blind and Patur called {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} from the big blind.

Everyone caught a piece of the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and Braco continued for 175,000. Odeen called his top pair before Patur raised his nut flush draw to 500,000. Braco got out of the way but Odeen called.

The {9-Diamonds} turn gave Patur a pair to go along with his draw. Odeen checked and Patur simply shoved it in for 1,915,000, slightly covering Odeen's remaining stack.

"Whatever, you're good," Odeen said after briefly contemplating it. The Swede added a few more remarks, not responded to by Patur, before ending with a "you've got my number".

Adam Jonsson
Adam Jonsson

In a battle of the blinds, Adam Jonsson was all in for around 900,000 and Rui Sousa called out of the big blind.

Adam Jonsson: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Rui Sousa: {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop improved Jonsson, but Sousa regained the lead on the {5-Diamonds} turn. Jonsson needed another four to double or a six to chop, instead, the river came the {2-Hearts} and that sent the online qualifier from Sweden to the rail in 25th place. All remaining 24 players will now redraw to the final three tables.
