Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Arturo Vidal
Arturo Vidal

Juan Pardo raised to 80,000 first to act and was called by Arturo Vidal from two seats over. On the {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Pardo continued for 80,000 and he called the shove of Vidal for another 225,000 on top.

"Madre mia," Vidal immediately said and was in trouble with the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Pardo had him dominated with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the {k-Spades} turn locked up the elimination for Pardo, the {6-Clubs} river was a formality. Once again all remaining players and the rail applauded as Vidal headed out of the tournament area.

For his 5th place finish, he takes home €134,460.

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

One hand later, Hirokazu Kobayashi raised the button and was called by Gerard Piqué in the big blind. Piqué check-called a bet of 75,000 on the {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop and the {q-Spades} turn were checked through. Piqué led the {5-Clubs} river fo 125,000 and Kobayashi called.
