Razavi Loses Chips to Chouity Twice

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Nicolas Chouity
Nicolas Chouity

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and there was well over 200,000 in the pot when Nicolas Chouity bet 44,000 from early position. Melika Razavi called from the cutoff to see the {q-Hearts} turn.

They both checked this time and the river was the {5-Diamonds}. Both players checked again and Chouity showed his {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. That was enough to win the pot because Razavi threw her cards in the muck.

Shortly after, Razavi raised and got a call from Jean-René Fontaine, as well as Chouity in the blinds. Razavi bet 23,000 on the {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and only Chouity stuck around. The turn was the {4-Spades} and Chouity check-called 55,000. The {6-Hearts} river went check/check.

It was a good check behind from Razavi; Chouity nodded and showed {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for another pot to the former champ.
