Ahoor Flops a Full

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

In three-way action to the {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Parham Ahoor check-raised and was called only by Adrian Smith, who had led for 800. Ahoor bet the {q-Hearts} turn for 2,600 to pick up a call and made it 8,000 to go on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Smith gave it some thought and elected to fold. Ahoor dragged in the pot, was all smiles behind his sunglasses and flashed {4-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a flopped full house. The table also briefly featured Andrey Andreev, who left with a hefty profit before moving tables.

Candin's Kicker Plays

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Ekrem Sanioglu has been involved in many hands early on as usual, and his stack has taken a hit to be almost cut into half. In the latest hand he was part of four-way action that created a pot of around 5,000 to the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. All four players checked and Sanioglu was first to show, revealing {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for top pair.

Serge Candin had that beat with {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the superior kicker and claimed the pot.

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Michel Junior from Brazil and Julio Vechina Cacoilo, the latter bet 4,500 into a pot of around 7,000 and Junior made the call to get shown {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the flush.

"Second nuts again, huh?" John Mooney chimed in, who has been doing well for himself early on, too.

Saout Builds Stack; Moreau Leads

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Antoine Saout has been able to build his stack without showdown at the expense of a player in the small blind, who just now faced a river bet of 6,400 by Saout with the completed board showing {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Saout called the clock on his opponent, who was given 30 seconds to act. With three seconds left, the fold followed and Saout dragged in the pot.

Early chip leader appears to be Alexandre Moreau, who scored the first knockout of the day as well.

Ruan Eliminated by Kalac

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
€1,100 French National Championship Day 1a
€1,100 French National Championship Day 1a

Ivan Kalac entered not long ago and was just spotted dragging in the stack of Jiayu Ruan, who had his cards mucked already. Kalac had turned the nut straight with {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on a board of {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Antonin Teisseire confirmed the action.

According to Teisseire, Ruan had opened to 500 and picked up two callers including Kalac. Teisseire three-bet to 3,000 and was called two ways, the Frenchman then folded on the flop with ace-king. Ruan had flopped the straight with {5-Spades}{4-Spades} but ended up second-best on the turn when the chips went in.
