"Crazy Table 13" Without Le Touche

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Philippe Le Touche
Philippe Le Touche

Philippe Le Touche had been up to more than 600,000 in level 12, but was spotted walking out of the tournament area. Was he taking a break? He had no hurry to return to his seat and a quick look at table 13 revealed another player in the seat of the former dominating chip leader.

"He is gone, but his chips are still here. Crazy table 13," Nikola Trajanov said. Trajanov and Renjun Yang are the two chip leaders there now and Trajanov chopped with Giuseppe Carbotti when both showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades} and {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} in the showdown, the flop already secured the split pot.

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Navot Golan and Josep Maria Galindo Lopez
Navot Golan and Josep Maria Galindo Lopez

Navot Golan jammed for the last 53,000 and Josep Maria Galindo Lopez reshoved for a lot of chips to isolate successfully, as Jeremy Palvini folded king-queen in the big blind.

Navot Golan: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Josep Maria Galindo Lopez: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Palvini would have flopped the nuts, but Golan turned the nut flush on the board {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} to remain in contention.

Soltanov Doubles Into the Lead

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mikhail Soltanov
Mikhail Soltanov

"Crazy Table" strikes again and has just delivered the biggest pot of the tournament thus far, which propelled Mikhail Soltanov into the top spot after a clash with Renjun Yang. The cards were all but rushed away, but as per players at the table, it was a set over set debacle for Yang, who lost a big portion of his stack.

In a raised multi-way pot for 25,000 to the {9-}{7-}{4-}, Soltanov bet 20,000 and he called the raise to 55,000 by Yang to see the {6-} on the turn. Yang bet 105,000 and called the shove for 200,000 total with pocket fours only to see Soltanov turn over pocket nines for top set. The river was a blank {3-} and Yang suddenly has to fight to reach Day 2 after cruising for most of the last levels well above the average.
