Jeffrey Colpitts final-tabled the opening €1,000 NLHE Event, however, this time he has been among the early casualties on Day 1b and will have to try again as of 6 p.m. local time for the final flight with levels of 30 minutes. On Colpitts' former table, Boubekeur Benhalima holds a commanding stack and Luca Marchetti has also already sent at least one opponent to the rail over on table one.

Among the first four players to bust on Day 1b was Jean Napiot, and the list of casualties will be a long one when the day is done and dusted in the early morning hours on Sunday.

More than mid-way through Day 1b, the field size of the first flight has already been surpassed with up to 387 entries and all but one table in the Salle Des Etoiles is in use right now. There are still empty seats everywhere as the tournament is kicking into gear, and several notables have entered or taken another shot.
Andreas Vlachos was not spotted in the 1a field, but the Greek is in action on 1b and just scooped a pot without showdown by betting for the size of the pot on the 
turn for 3,800. His sole remaining opponent folded and Vlachos raked in the pot.
EPT regular Tsugunari Toma has been able to build a profit early on after a clash with Guillaume Raphael. On a three-way flop of 
, Toma bet 600 and Raphael check-raised out of the big blind to 2,000. Only Toma came along and Raphael bet the 
turn for 2,300.
Toma had other plans in mind and raised to 5,000, the call of Raphael followed. On the 
river, Raphael checked and folded to a bet of 7,000.
