Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

Derek Ip raised to 55,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos called from the small blind. Bertrand Grospellier shipped all in for 385,000 in the big blind and Ip burned through a time extension. He eventually also pushed all in and Mateos quickly folded.

Derek Ip: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Bertrand Grospellier: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

It was a wild flop with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} being spread across the felt. Ip flopped a full house but Grospellier picked up trip queens. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and the river was the {5-Diamonds} to send Grospellier home in fifth place.

Troyanovskiy Doubles Up

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised enough from the small blind for Vladimir Troyanovskiy to call for his last 110,000 in the big blind.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for Troyanovskiy to turn the pair of deuces to double up with.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy Eliminated in 4th Place (€62,720)

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy was the short stack among the final four players and he pushed all in for 235,000 from the cutoff. Anton Yakuba re-shoved all in on the button and the blinds quickly folded.

Anton Yakuba: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and Yakuba actually thought a seven was coming. However, it was the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop that put Yakuba in the lead with a pair of jacks. The {10-Spades} on the turn gave Troyanovskiy a live straight draw but it was the {3-Hearts} on the river that ended his tournament.

Back and Forth

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The chips have been moving back and forth with a bunch of raises and no calls.

Derek Ip raised to 55,000 from the button and Anton Yakuba defended his big blind.

They both checked through the {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Yakuba bet 110,000 and Ip responded with a shove for Yakuba to snap-fold to.

Derek Ip: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to keep Ip ahead.

The turn was the {q-Spades} to now give Mateos the higher pair.

The river completed the board with the {2-Diamonds} to keep things the same as Ip was sent to the payout desk to collect €82,840 for finishing in third place.

Yakuba Chipping Away

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Despite the first pot of heads-up play going to Adrian Mateos after a raise on the river, Anton Yakuba has since been chipping at Mateos' lead. Yakuba raised to 60,000 on the button and Mateos called from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Mateos check-called a bet of 50,000 from Yakuba. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Mateos checked again. Yakuba counted out a bet of 200,000 and Mateos quickly dumped his cards in the muck.
