Day 2 of the €10,300 No-Limit Hold’em is set to start at 1 p.m. local time at the 2019 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague. At least 27 players out of 54 entries will return to the tables in the Chez Louis salon on the mezzanine level of the Hilton Prague but with registration still open right until the start, these numbers are expected to go up.

Tsugunari Toma will start the day in the lead with 219,000 in chips. The Japanese player has great results recently and will be looking to add another PokerStars spade trophy to the three he has already won albeit those were all won in tournaments with a “slightly” lower buy-in. Trailing Toma in the chip counts are Orpen Kisacikoglu (162,000), Michael Soyza (160,500), Anton Yakuba (160,500), and Kahle Burns with 151,500.

Daniel Dvoress, Matthias Eibinger, Jean-Noel Thorel, Scott Margereson, Yuan Li, Davidi Kitai, Bertrand Grospellier, and Quan Zhou will all come back to the felt with an above-average stack but anything can change.

The seat draw for Day 2 will be posted as soon as registration has closed when the players start Level 11 which features a small blind of 1,000, big blind of 2,500, and a big blind ante of 2,500. Players will receive an additional 3 time bank cards to the ones they bagged last night worth another 30 seconds each. Another 3 will be handed out to the players who reach the final table.

A 15-minute break will take place after every three levels and play will continue until the first winner in Prague can be announced. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the action from the beautiful Hilton Prague so stick around!

Adams Scores an Early Double

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams was one of the latest entries prior to the start of the cards going in the air. He just moved to a new table with his fresh stack of 50,000 chips and wasted little time getting into the middle. Jorryt van Hoof opened to 6,000 in middle position and Tsugunari Toma called in the hijack. Adams pushed all in from the cutoff and the action folded back to Toma who made the call.

Timothy Adams: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Tsugunari Toma: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Adams held the superior pocket pair and the flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} proved to be safe for him. The {q-Diamonds} on the turn left Toma drawing to just two out and the {5-Clubs} on the river was not one of them.

Higgs Doubles Through Thorel

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 5,500 in early position and Sam Higgs shoved all in for 15,000 just a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Thorel who quickly made the call.

Sam Higgs: {k-Spades}{7-Spades}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Higgs' king-high was currently in the lead and the flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} cemented that lead for him. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn and the {3-Clubs} on the river improved Higgs to two pair in order to double through Thorel.

Small Value Bet from Kisacikoglu

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Michael Soyza raised to 5,500 in early position and Orpen Kisacikoglu defended from the big blind. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Kisacikoglu check-called a bet of 10,000 from Soyza.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and both players checked to the {j-Spades} on the river. Kisacikoglu tossed in a small bet of 7,000 and Soyza quickly paid him off. Kisacikoglu showed {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair and Soyza mucked his cards.
