Chiriac Chips Up in Quick Succession

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
George Chiriac
George Chiriac

George Chiriac sent two players to the rail and won a very healthy pot right after just before the blinds went up.

First, he had Jacques Misonne with pocket tens and Pierre-Paul Paulin with the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} at risk, tabling the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for an inferior pair. The board came {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Chiriac made a full house.

He then raised to 900 and was called by Gregory Telman in the small blind. Telman led the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} turn for 3,000 and Chiriac raised to 7,500, which Telman called. On the {3-Hearts} river, Telman check-called a bet of 6,000 and mucked when he was shown the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.
