Pisarev Loses Flip to Rusu

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Antal Mezei raised the button and Catalin Rusu three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind. Denis Pisarev four-bet jammed for 118,000 and Mezei folded, while Rusu called.

Pisarev was at risk with ace-queen against the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} of Rusu and spiked an ace on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. After a blank {7-Spades} turn, Rusu was down to two outs and the {10-Hearts} river let Rusu jump up in celebration.

"Why Did You Fold?!"

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player in early position pumped it up to 6,500 and action folded around to Narcis Nedelcu, who was on the button and three-bet to 23,000. Action made its way back to the original raiser and he put in a four-bet to 48,500 after about 40 seconds of thought.

Nedelcu then went into the tank for about a minute, putting his face down into the massage pad that was between his chest and the back of the chair as his massage therapist continued her work.

"Ninety-two," Nedelcu then said, sliding forward the matching amount and pulling back his previous bet. His opponent confirmed the amount and sent his cards to the muck shortly thereafter, earning Nedelcu the pot without seeing a flop.

"Why did you fold?!" said Nedelcu, stacking his chips with a smile on his face as he geared up for the next hand.

Lampinen Among Last Casualties

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The field has been cut down to 133 players and the latest hopeful to fall was Jyrki Lampinen. He got it in with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} against the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Vladas Burneikis and spiked the {a-Spades} on the flop, yet a fourth spade on the turn spelled the end for the Finn.

Cancelliere Felts Gadzhiev

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Chris Cancelliere was in the hijack and opened to 8,000 upon action folding to him. The next three players folded to put action onto Roman Gadzhiev, who was in the big blind and three-bet all in. Cancelliere asked for a count, which was totaled to be 28,500, and quickly made the call.

Roman Gadzhiev: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Chris Cancelliere: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, leaving Gadzhiev drawing dead by the turn to result in his elimination at the expense of Cancelliere.

Pinter Doubles in Fortunate Fashion

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Gergo Pinter got all in for his last 56,000 from the big blind preflop with action from the player on the button.

Gergo Pinter: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Pinter found himself with three live outs going to the flop {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades}, which left him with two chances to stay alive. The turn came {9-Hearts}, giving him two more outs at running nines to give him trips. The river {9-Diamonds} gave him just that, putting his three nines above his opponent's two pair upon the completion of the runout to earn him a double and give him some life.

Perelygin Doubles Through Rusu

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The cards of Catalin Rusu were already in the muck and he paid off the 80,000 of Sergey Perelygin who had flopped an open-ender and rivered a pair with {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} on a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Despite losing this pot, Rusu remains on well above the average as the Day 1a bubble is slowly but surely looming with fewer than 130 players remaining.

Jan Bednar
Jan Bednar

Michal Klepczarek opened to 9,000 and Josef Snejberg three-bet to 27,000, which prompted a jam by Jan Bednar for 146,000. Klepczarek asked for a count on the shove and the rough stack size of Snejberg before folding, Snejberg instantly called.

Jan Bednar: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Josef Snejberg: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Snejberg had the best of it on the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop but the {6-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river run out gave Bednar a full house.

Hari Uses "Stop and Go" To Double

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded around to the player on the button and he opened to 10,500. Adam Hari defended his big blind and then went all in for 21,500 upon the dealer fanning a flop of {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. His opponent thought for a couple of seconds and then dropped in chips to call.

Adam Hari: {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Hari had hit a piece of the board before shoving, flopping middle pair and getting called by what amounted to be two live cards and a gutshot straight draw. In total, he had 10 outs to fade to stay alive and was able to fade them on both the turn {4-Diamonds} and river {5-Clubs} to score the double.

Robert Lim was all in for a mere 9,500 and Jon Gurrutxaga in the small blind three-bet to 20,000, which forced a fold from Davidi Kitai in the big blind.

Lim tabled the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Gurrutxaga was well ahead with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. The board came {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and that spelled the end for Lim.
