Kenney Needs No Showdown

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Bryn Kenney was in the hijack and pumped it up to 4,500. The player on the button called and Simon Brandstrom defended his big blind, and action went three-handed to the flop {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}. All three players checked.

The turn came {2-Hearts} and Brandstrom checked again. Kenney fired out 6,500 and the player on the button called. Brandstrom folded, bringing the river {k-Clubs}. Kenney thought for about 40 seconds and then threw out a bet. The dealer announced a total of 29,000, roughly the size of the pot, and the player on the button went into the tank for close to a minute before letting his cards go.

Kenney now finds himself just shy of a quarter-million nearing the midway point in Level 12.
