Paiva Four-Bet Jams; Da Rocha Takes Two

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Tomas Paiva raised to 180,000 {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Norbert Szecsi three-bet to 640,000 in the small blind with the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Paiva four-bet jammed for 3,085,000 and Szecsi instantly folded.

Ricardo Da Rocha raised to 180,000 with the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Mikalai Pobal called with the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} in the big blind. The {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop gave Pobal a gutshot and he checked, Da Rocha bet 400,000 into a pot of 480,000 and that did the trick to force a fold from his opponent.

Da Rocha limped the small blind with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Pobal limped too with the {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Laurent Michot checked with {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}. On the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, Pobal bet 150,000 and Da Rocha was the only caller to see the {10-Hearts} on the turn. Pobal now checked and Da Rocha made it 400,000 to go as Pobal stuck around.

The {2-Clubs} river was checked by Pobal and Da Rocha used a time bank before leading for 800,000 into a pot of 1,420,000. A near-instant fold of Pobal followed and Da Rocha climbed up to more than five million in chips.
