Sakarov Eliminated by Yakuba

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Elvin Sarkarov was nursing a short stack for a while and has just lost the last of it in a hand vs Anton Yakuba. He hits the rail in 19th but can console himself with the option of playing Day 1C tomorrow if he wants to stay in the running.

Petrushevskiy on the Up

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sergey Petrushevskiy has just taken down a pot with a river bet of 22,000 on a {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board in a hand against Vladislav Naumov. His upwards trend continues for Petrushevskiy, adding more chips to a stack that he has almost doubled in the last hour of play.

Tertychnyi Left Short

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Andrii Tertychnyi is back down to starting stack after barrelling three times on a {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} board. He was blind v blind against Giorgiy Skhulukhiya, who flatted behind the 5,000, 8,000 and 12,000 bets on each street.

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya's {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} was good for the chips against Tertychnyi's {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Tertychnyi will need to make a move soon with only 6 big blinds left in play.

Kryazhev Doubles Through Pisarenko

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Maksim Pisarenko opened the button to 9,000 and the small blind called. Andrey Kryazhev three-bet all-in for a round 100,000 and Pisarenko snapped. The small blind moved aside and they were heads up.

Andrey Kryazhev: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Maksim Pisarenko: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

It was pocket pair vs suited overcards and the players were virtually 50-50. On the {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Spades} however, Kryazhev moved into the lead. The {2-Clubs} turn saw his lead increase and the {9-Hearts} river was a brick. It leaves Pisarenko down to 11 big blinds, with levels about to go up and Kryazhev on a very healthy stack, with more than 65 big blinds.
