River Overbet Snapped Up by Zyrin

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sergey Konovalov and Anatolii Zyrin checked a {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board and the river was the {10-Diamonds}.

Konovalov overbet the pot and slid out 30,000. Zyrin called. Konovalov looked uneasy as he turned over {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives and Zyrin clarified that it was just a pair of fives before showing {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for top pair and taking down the pot.

Konovalov started the day with an above average stack but has dwindled and now sits with just six big blinds after this overbet gone wrong.

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Anatoliy Zyrin
Anatoliy Zyrin

Anatolii Zyrin got his last 155,000 chips in with pocket aces {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} on a {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop against the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of Danil Bukharin.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} but the river {7-Clubs} gave Bukharin a flush and sent Zyrin to the rail.

Zyrin adds another EPT Main Event cash to his 23rd place in the EPT Sochi Main Event last year.

Ustimov Bossing on Feature

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Viktor Ustimov
Viktor Ustimov

Day 1b chip leader Viktor Ustimov has certainly made an impression at the feature table, taking chips off of start-of-day chip leader Aleksandr Denisov meaning that is he who holds the overall chip lead at this stage of the tournament.

Denisov is by no means out of it, but as Table 1 it looks like this selection of players will be up on feature for the remainder of the day.
