Who Will Reach the Final Table in the 2020 PokerStars EPT Online $5,200 Main Event?

Viacheslav Buldygin sits in second place
Viacheslav Buldygin sits in second place

The penultimate day of the 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online festival awaits and the flagship $5,200 Main Event will get one step closer to crowning a champion. Out of a field of 1,304 entries, only 72 players remain in contention, and all eye a spot on the nine-handed final table, which would lock up a payday of at least $78,797.

Best-positioned to go all the way is Irishman Toby "sadface111" Joyce with 11,706,697, followed by Viacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin (10,340,384) and "TTWIST" (10,318,673) as the only other players with an eight-figure stack.

Another three known notables reside in the overnight top 10 including Andreas "daskalos20" Christoforou (7,950,893), Fabio "hdjgkfkgsdl" Sperling (7,928,512), and Liviu "0Human0" Ignat (7,745,169), separated by only three big blinds. Further regulars on the international poker circuit follow not far behind such as Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet (7,659,083), Nuno "BrigaDatada" Capucho (7,650,210), Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams (7,337,601), 2015 EPT Prague runner-up Gleb "Ti0373" Tremzin (6,561,672), and Christopher "Apotheosis92" Kruk (6,127,549).

The sole remaining representative of the red spade is 2019 PokerStars Players Championship winner Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas, who sits in the middle of the pack with a stack of 2,874,265. That represents nearly 36 big blinds for the start of Day 3, which kicks off at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) with the remainder of level 27 at blinds of 40,000/80,000 and a running ante of 10,000.

Dutchman Rob "batoelrob" Hollink is still on track for a second EPT Main Event title and unprecedented live and online double, as he returns with 3,747,007. Alongside former runner-up Tremzin in the top 10, Marton "noirduck" Czuczor is also seeking redemption for two heads-up losses and enters the penultimate day with 3,266,790.

Plenty of other big names made the cut including Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes, Antoine "A. Saout" Saout, Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle, Will "hellzito" Arruda, Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" KanitLaszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas, and Luke "Bit2easy" Reeves to name but a few.

The action of Day 3 and tomorrow's final table will also be broadcasted with cards-up coverage and commentary on a security delay of 30 minutes on the PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channels. All PokerNews live updates will be published accordingly in order to not spoil any of the action.

Aerts eliminated by Czuczur
Aerts eliminated by Czuczur

A short-stacked Pieter "XMorphineX" Aerts three-bet jammed for the last 1,201,636 and was called instantly by initial raiser Marton "noirduck" Czuczor.

Pieter "XMorphineX" Aerts: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Marton "noirduck" Czuczor: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Aerts found some help on the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop but it was not enough as the {5-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river followed.

The UK's "Grazza" had raised to 190,000 and continued for the same amount on the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop. Liviu "0Human0" Ignat check-called once and bet the {j-Hearts} turn for 350,100, then called the shove of his opponent.

"Grazza": {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Liviu "0Human0" Ignat: {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts} river completed the runner runner flush and "Grazza" was gone next.

Level 28 : 45,000/90,000, 11,250 ante
TTWIST vs tikidiii
TTWIST vs tikidiii

Canada's "TTWIST" had been playing large pots preflop and it all came crashing down in a big pot prior to the break when "tikidiii" flat-called a raise to 198,000 by Fabio "hdjgkfkgsdl" Sperling. "TTWIST" three-bet to 634,021 in the big blind and "tikidiii" was the only caller.

A first bet worth 528,344 by "TTWIST" on the {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop was called and they fired another 1,200,111 on the {8-Clubs} turn, which was called once more.

"TTWIST" jammed the {4-Clubs} river for an effective 7,586,804 and received the call to turn over {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for fours full of eights, which "tikidiii" had beat with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

An open raise to 225,000 by "vip25459" from under the gun saw Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas three-bet to 650,000 with 415,520 behind in the cutoff and "milennial" jammed out of the big blind, earning two callers from the shorter stacks.

Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
"vip25459": {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Moraes Runs Queens Into Kings

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 12,000 ante
Moraes eliminated by milennial
Moraes eliminated by milennial

It all kicked off when "milennial" made it 222,000 to go from under the gun and was called by "vip25459" from one seat over, "zas91" in the cutoff and Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams on the button.

Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes then moved all-in for 2,973,453 in the big blind and "milennial" reshoved for more than double of that to isolate successfully.

Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
"milennial": {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Both suits were covered and "milennial" spiked a set on the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop, leaving Moraes with running queens or a jack to a straight. The {4-Spades} turn shut down one of those options and the {q-Spades} on the river was too little too late for the Brazilian.

Joyce eliminate by Van Fleet

Another open raise to 308,000 by Toby "sadface11" Joyce triggered the three-bet to 980,000 by Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet and the Irishman made it 2,800,000 to go. Van Fleet moved all-in for more than 13.1 million and Joyce called it off for more than 11.3 million.

Toby "sadface11" Joyce: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

It was a big flip for Joyce and he was drawing dead as soon as the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} turn fell, which made the {a-Diamonds} river a formality. After starting day atop the leaderboard, Joyce has to settle for $27,385 in 33rd place.
