"buttonclickr" and Mattsson Next to Fall

Level 28 : 45,000/90,000, 11,250 ante
buttonclickr eliminated
buttonclickr eliminated

Soon after the final eight tables were reached, Finland's "buttonclickr" took a flip with the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} in a pot of nearly 4 million. They faced "DingeBrinker" with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and the Estonian got there on a board of {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

An even bigger pot emerged when Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson limped the small blind and "TTWIST" shoved for 11,545,250 in the big blind. Mattsson called it off for more than 3.2 million and they were off to the races.

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
"TTWIST": {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Plenty of broadway cards showed up on the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} board, however, Mattsson found no help and departed in 63rd place.

Level 28 : 45,000/90,000, 11,250 ante

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson four-bet to 955,000 with 2.9 million behind and folded when table big stack "TTWIST" five-bet jammed from one seat over.

In the meanwhile, a trio of players was felted to let the first table break. That included Jonathan "Proudflop" Proudfoot, "Alik_Z1" and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas.

Bujtas opened his final hand with a raise to 180,000 and Antoine "A. Saout" Saout three-bet to 565,000 in the small blind. Bujtas jammed for 2,162,042 and was quickly called.

Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Antoine "A. Saout" Saout: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

On a board of {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Saout turned an unbeatable set to eliminate the alkways dangerous Bujtas.

Adams Wins Large Pot Off Koplimaa; "mikki696" Vanishes

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams raised to 160,000 and called a three-bet to 640,000 by Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa in the small blind. On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Koplimaa slowed down and check-called a bet of 419,000 to do so again for 882,400.

The {10-Clubs} on the river was checked and Koplimaa tabled the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, which Adams had beat holding the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

In the meanwhile, "mikki696" took a flip with the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} from under the gun and "Hymn2Ninkasi" looked them up out of the big blind with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The pot of nearly 5.2 million was shipped to "Hymn2Ninkasi" when they spiked the ace on the {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board.

Karam Eliminated by MacDonald

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Karam vs MacDonald
Karam vs MacDonald

Fernando "fapk2212" Karam started Day 3 as one of the shortest stacks and three-bet jammed the button just now to pick up a call by Tom "7tHEcROw7" MacDonald in the hijack, which resulted in a pot of nearly 2 million.

Fernando "fapk2212" Karam: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Tom "7tHEcROw7" MacDonald: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

MacDonald flopped trips on {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and the {k-Diamonds} turn provided no further equity to Karam. Down to two outs, the Brazilian also missed the {2-Spades} river and departed in 69th place.

Following a raise to 172,000 by "ross_654", Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa three-bet to 520,000 on the button and called a four-bet shove for 2,366,644 in total.

Markku "markovitsus" Koplimaa: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Queens were only ahead preflop as Koplimaa improved on the {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop. The {4-Hearts} turn brought no additional sweat and the {3-Clubs} river was another blank to eliminate "ross_654".

Kanit Busts "vladxxxro"; "P0KERPR02.0" Busts

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Following a raise to 172,800 by Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit, "vladxxxro" jammed for nearly 1.5 million from one seat over in the cutoff and was called instantly.

Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
"vladxxxro": {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

There was no help for the Romanian on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board and they were gone in 72nd place.

Short stack "P0KERPR02.0" then lost the last few blinds with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} of "DingeBrinker" on a board of {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Viacheslav Buldygin sits in second place

The penultimate day of the 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online festival awaits and the flagship $5,200 Main Event will get one step closer to crowning a champion. Out of a field of 1,304 entries, only 72 players remain in contention, and all eye a spot on the nine-handed final table, which would lock up a payday of at least $78,797.

Best-positioned to go all the way is Irishman Toby "sadface111" Joyce with 11,706,697, followed by Viacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin (10,340,384) and "TTWIST" (10,318,673) as the only other players with an eight-figure stack.

Another three known notables reside in the overnight top 10 including Andreas "daskalos20" Christoforou (7,950,893), Fabio "hdjgkfkgsdl" Sperling (7,928,512), and Liviu "0Human0" Ignat (7,745,169), separated by only three big blinds. Further regulars on the international poker circuit follow not far behind such as Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet (7,659,083), Nuno "BrigaDatada" Capucho (7,650,210), Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams (7,337,601), 2015 EPT Prague runner-up Gleb "Ti0373" Tremzin (6,561,672), and Christopher "Apotheosis92" Kruk (6,127,549).

The sole remaining representative of the red spade is 2019 PokerStars Players Championship winner Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas, who sits in the middle of the pack with a stack of 2,874,265. That represents nearly 36 big blinds for the start of Day 3, which kicks off at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) with the remainder of level 27 at blinds of 40,000/80,000 and a running ante of 10,000.

Dutchman Rob "batoelrob" Hollink is still on track for a second EPT Main Event title and unprecedented live and online double, as he returns with 3,747,007. Alongside former runner-up Tremzin in the top 10, Marton "noirduck" Czuczor is also seeking redemption for two heads-up losses and enters the penultimate day with 3,266,790.

Plenty of other big names made the cut including Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes, Antoine "A. Saout" Saout, Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle, Will "hellzito" Arruda, Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" KanitLaszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas, and Luke "Bit2easy" Reeves to name but a few.

The action of Day 3 and tomorrow's final table will also be broadcasted with cards-up coverage and commentary on a security delay of 30 minutes on the PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channels. All PokerNews live updates will be published accordingly in order to not spoil any of the action.
