Only nine players remain out of 69 entries in 2021 PokerStars EPT Online Event #18. The biggest stack by a good margin was bagged by Mike "SirWatts" Watson, who stayed near the top of the leaderboard for most of the day and even made a straight flush near the day’s end to finish with a solid stack of 4,102,145 chips.

Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford (2,929,694) and Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima (2,235,750) round out the top few biggest bagged stacks.

Bujtas Becomes Bubble Boy

Level 19 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

"v0I<u" opened to 77,700 in the cutoff and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas shoved in his 408,616 stack on the button. Action folded back to "v0I<u" who called.

Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
"v0I<u": {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Bujtas was ahead until the {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop left him needing help. The {3-Hearts} turn meant he needed only an ace, ten, or five to stay alive, but the {j-Hearts} fell on the river to eliminate him on the bubble.

With nine players remaining, the contenders who still have chips are all in the money and will return on December 15 at 1:05 p.m. ET to battle it out for the trophy.

Full chip counts and a recap is to follow.

Lima Survives Rollercoaster Versus Bujtas

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante

Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima opened to 67,200 in the cutoff and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas three-bet to 270,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Lima who jammed in his 1,228,425 stack, and Bujtas called.

Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and Bujtas vaulted into the lead on the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. Lima was looking to be the likely bubble boy, although the {10-Spades} turn provided him some more outs, including a royal draw. With one card to go, the {q-Hearts} spiked the river to give Lima a boat and keep him alive in a key part of the tournament.
