Only nine players remain out of 69 entries in 2021 PokerStars EPT Online Event #18. The biggest stack by a good margin was bagged by Mike "SirWatts" Watson, who stayed near the top of the leaderboard for most of the day and even made a straight flush near the day’s end to finish with a solid stack of 4,102,145 chips.

Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford (2,929,694) and Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima (2,235,750) round out the top few biggest bagged stacks.

The prize pool of $690,000 surpassed the guarantee and while all of the remaining players have locked up $10,756 in addition to the bounties they’ve won, they will all be looking to finish on top at tomorrow’s final table, where one player will be taking the $81,432 first-place prize, which comes with the bounties they’ve collected and the EPT Online trophy.

Bujtas Becomes Bubble Boy

Level 19 : 17,500/35,000, 4,500 ante

"v0I<u" opened to 77,700 in the cutoff and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas shoved in his 408,616 stack on the button. Action folded back to "v0I<u" who called.

Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
"v0I<u": {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Bujtas was ahead until the {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop left him needing help. The {3-Hearts} turn meant he needed only an ace, ten, or five to stay alive, but the {j-Hearts} fell on the river to eliminate him on the bubble.

With nine players remaining, the contenders who still have chips are all in the money and will return on December 15 at 1:05 p.m. ET to battle it out for the trophy.

Full chip counts and a recap is to follow.

Lima Survives Rollercoaster Versus Bujtas

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 3,750 ante

Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima opened to 67,200 in the cutoff and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas three-bet to 270,000 in the small blind. Action folded back to Lima who jammed in his 1,228,425 stack, and Bujtas called.

Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip and Bujtas vaulted into the lead on the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. Lima was looking to be the likely bubble boy, although the {10-Spades} turn provided him some more outs, including a royal draw. With one card to go, the {q-Hearts} spiked the river to give Lima a boat and keep him alive in a key part of the tournament.

Straight Flush for Watson

Level 17 : 12,500/25,000, 3,250 ante

"v0I<u" opened to 55,500 in the cutoff and Mike "SirWatts" Watson called in the small blind.

The two players saw a {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and Watson check-called a 52,115 bet.

On the {3-Hearts} turn, Watson check-called a 200,054 bet, and both players checked the {4-Hearts} river.

Watson turned over {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flopped flush that improved to a straight flush as "v0I<u" mucked.

Martirosian Eliminated by Greenwood

Level 17 : 12,500/25,000, 3,250 ante

Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian moved in his 220,398 stack from middle position and Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood re-jammed in the small blind as the other players folded.

Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Greenwood was dominating and continued to lead on the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. The {k-Spades} turn left Martirosian needing a river jack to make Broadway, but the {5-Clubs} completed the board to eliminate him and send his chips and bounty to Greenwood.
