Adams Chips Up Further

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened the action with a raise to 2,500 from the cutoff. He forced two folds but Timothy Adams had other plans and clicked it up to 20,000 in the big blind. Chidwick called after brief consideration and both players checked the {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop.

There was no betting action on the {2-Spades} turn and {9-Hearts} river either as Adams rolled over the {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} for kings and fours. That was good enough to rake in the pot as Chidwick sent his cards into the muck.

Watson Calls Chidwick's Bluff

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Watson raised to 2,500 and Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind.

The flop was {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} and Chidwick checked. Watson continued for 2,000 and Chidwick check-raised to 9,000.

Watson called, and Chidwick then bet 18,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn.

The river was the {6-Hearts}. Both players checked. Chidwick hesitantly opened {a-Spades}{3-Spades} but mucked as soon as Watson showed {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for two pair - kings and twos.

Petrangelo and Dvoress Take Some Off Wilf

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Heads-up to the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} turn, Nick Petrangelo and Saar Wilf checked with around 20,000 in the middle. Petrangelo then overbet the {k-Clubs} river for 33,000 and Wilf folded.

One hand later, Wilf raised to 3,000 and Daniel Dvoress came along out of the big blind. Following a flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Dvoress opted for a check-raise from 3,000 to 9,000 and earned a call from Wilf. The {10-Clubs} turn brought a check-call for 13,000 by Dvoress and he then led the {q-Spades} river for just 6,000.

Wilf only called and mucked once Dvoress exposed the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for kings and queens.

Grafton into the Chip Lead

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Brewer raised to 2,500 on the button. Timothy Adams three-bet to 10,500 in the small blind. Sam Grafton asked Brewer how much he was playing before four-betting to 32,000.

Brewer folded but Adams called and check-called 17,000 on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. The turn {j-Spades} went check-check and the river was the {k-Clubs}

Adams checked and Grafton used a time bank before betting 66,000. Adams used a time bank of his own before opting to fold.

Tominaga Near the Starting Stack Again

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo opened to 2,500 and then called a three-bet to 11,000 by Daichi Tominaga in the small blind. On a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}, Tominaga opted for a bet worth 10,000 and Petrangelo stuck around to see the {j-Diamonds} on the turn.

Tominaga now grabbed two green T-25,000 chips and announced a bet of 35,000. That was enough to break through the resistance of Petrangelo, who sent the cards into the muck.

Small Pot to Brewer

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Watson limped in from the small blind and then called a raise to 3,500 by Chris Brewer in the big blind. The flop brought {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and both players checked. Watson then check-called a bet worth 3,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn before checking again the {a-Clubs} river.

Brewer now bet 25,000 for a bigger portion of his remaining short stack, which ended up winning the pot uncontested.

Chidwick and Watson Chip Up a Notch

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick made it 2,500 to go in the cutoff and Chris Brewer three-bet to 11,000 in the small blind for Chidwick to call. Following the {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, Brewer bet 20,000 and Chidwick gave it some consideration before piling in his green T-25,000 chips. Brewer had fewer than one third of the starting stack behind and folded.

Shortly after on the same table, Mike Watson opened to 2,500 in the cutoff and was called by Timothy Adams in the small blind. Following the {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Adams check-called for 4,500 and did so again for 12,000 after the {4-Hearts} turn. The {8-Spades} river completed the board and Adams checked the third street in a row.

Watson now fired a bet of 40,000 and Adams got out of the way.
