Some 28 players return for Day 3 of the £1,100 UKIPT Main Event at noon local time as they will play down to the final table today here at the PokerStars European Poker Tour London at the Hilton Park Lane hotel.

The story to start the day is Julien Sitbon who holds a gargantuan chip lead with 6,940,000 (174 big blinds) to start the day, which is more than double any of the other stacks. The Frenchman will have the luxury of being the big stack bully up against several small stacks at the start of the day.

Another Frenchman, Mohamed Aissaoui (3,285,000) starts the day in second place as the “best of the rest” following the substantial drop from Sitbon’s stack. Jon Kyte (2,930,000) is third, Day 1b chip leader Vladas Tamasauskas (2,770,000) comes in at fourth in chips and Conor Beresford (2,265,000) has the sixth largest stack.

Martin Jacobson is still alive, although just barely as he enters the day as the short stack with just 285,000 which is only seven big blinds as he will need to make a move very quickly if he wishes to make any impact on Day 3.

Play will resume at 12 p.m. local time and continue with 60-minute levels. The plan is to play down until the final six players remain. Blinds will start at 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante.

PokerNews will have all the updates you need as this critical Day 3 gets underway today.
