Pei's Ducks Hold Up

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Action was joined as the flop was all clubs {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. From the hijack, Ruohan Pei bet 7,600. Julien Loire was in the small blind and thought for a while before he raised all in. Pei called.

Pei led with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flopped set, while Loire was drawing to the nut flush with the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} to uselessly pair Loire. The river came the {4-Spades} to miss the club draw and bust Loire as the dealer confirmed that he was barely covered after a count while Pei gathered the nice pot.

Lynskey Rivers a Flush

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Tom Orpaz raised to 1,000 from middle position and found three callers to the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. Orpaz moved all in for his remaining 20,000 chips, and was called by Alexander Lynskey in the big blind.

Alexander Lynskey: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Tom Orpaz: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Orpaz was ahead with top pair, but the {a-Diamonds} turn and {3-Diamonds} river saw Lynskey improve to a flush. Orpaz quickly made his way to the registration desk to re-enter the tournament.

Gassian Leaves Silverman Short

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Daniel Silverman bet 7,000 on a board showing {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} and was raised all in by David Gassian.

Silverman took some time before making the call, with just 2,400 chips left behind. Gassian revealed {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a flopped full house, taking down a big pot.

MacDonnell Applies the Pressure

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Marc Macdonnell
Marc Macdonnell

Marc MacDonnell was facing a raise from Shane Bailey on the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, and called to see the {q-Spades} turn.

Both players checked to the {10-Hearts} river, and MacDonnell fired out a pot-sized bet. Bailey quickly folded, and MacDonnell took down the pot.

Duggan Doubles Up

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Maciej Gut raised all in preflop, and was quickly called by Thomas Duggan.

Thomas Duggan: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Maciej Gut: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Duggan had Gut dominated, and the runout of {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} changed nothing. Duggan doubled up, while Gut was left short-stacked.
